The Misfortunates rose like a phoenix from the catacombs filled with man-sized butcher bugs, and then descended almost immediately beneath the earth once again. What terrors awaited them in the derelict mine, rife with the spores that begat the plague of Guests? Butler has an eye-opening experience, Hector takes a tumble, Norric shows a different side to her personality.

The Misfortunates survived their deadly encounter with Metzger, the invincible right hand of the Castellan, and plunged from the proverbial frying pan into a cavernous hive crawling with dozens upon dozens of man-sized butcher bugs. Jakob dances in the pale moonlight, Norric blends in, Hector blows himself up, Carina picks up her crown, Butler plays tug of war with his brain.

The Misfortunates have fallen victim to a pit trap, falling farther from the captured Eve as Norman Alastor performs a profane ritual higher up in his castle. Worse still, not content with dropping them down a pit; he's sent his right hand to dispose of them. The invincible Metzger now stalks them down a tunnel that may become their tomb... Tonight, on a very special episode of O, Cruel World... Koot plants a tree. Loren exterminates some bugs. Butler gets touched by an angel. Anna has a date with destiny.

The Misfortunates have received a boon: two of their number have been cured of the atrocious Affliction. However, for Mathias it has meant losing his humanity and for Esperanza it meant an unwelcome return to it. Adjustment to this new paradigm will have to wait, however. The Misfortunates have found Mathias! And Desmund Dorsal, in the flesh (so to speak.) Can they survive five minutes in a small room with him? Or will this be a repeat of their last encounter, one that almost ended in the death of all involved... Anna refuses the call, Butler is left holding the bag, Norric takes a dive, Koot bugs out, and Carina catches on fire.

The Misfortunates have had a brush with death, and The Maid (Butler's onetime confidant). What could she be here for? Something tells the party she's not here to clean house. Butler sets the table for a dinner party. Loren digs in. Norric appreciates some art. Anna learns a valuable lesson about marksmanship safety.

The Misfortunates traverse a series of deadly and mystifying puzzles, from the depths of a pendulum haunted sewer, to the heights of a mind-bending hedge maze; all within the confines of castle Alastor. Butler meets an old friend. Carina learns something new about the world. Norric learns something new about herself. Loren stage-directs a trapeze stack of 20 zombies. Koot hangs upside down.

The Misfortunates have lost Mathias to a scooby doo wall trap, and must delve into the sewer dungeons beneath castle shadowgrange to contend with its miserable insects. Butler plays the waltz, Norric moves like water, Anna finds some new neck apparel.

In the bowels of Norman Alastor's converted Avacynian castle, our heroes face their most grueling gauntlet yet: the Water Hall. Carina hears from her mom. Butler keeps an eye on Anna's sister. Loren takes a dive.

Our heroes shake themselves off and head deeper into Castle Shadowgrange, after fending off an attack from a catapult. Loren enters the batting cage. Carina makes a new friend. Butler returns from the war.

The Misfortunates have leapt from one frying pan to another fire as they arrive at the local Avacynian keep, now under new management. Anna shoots an eye out, Loren cranks one out, Carina puts a fire out.

Our heroes have rescued Zor, a companion of Hatchet's and a victim of a strange ichorous disease. Can they complete Milo the wizard's pilgrimage in time to cure the poor fellow? Val takes some ghouls to school. Alara sends her son to that same school I just mentioned. Rex goes a knocking. Sally plays doctor.

The Big Cheese has been cut down. Now The Misfortunates just need to take a perilous gondola ride back up the cliffs and exit through the gate. Simple, right? Butler has an Eye for treasure. Anna has a coffin fit. Norric lights up the night. Kai takes a bong rip directly into the mic.

Time to cut the big cheese. Butler goes down. Anna goes up. Norric goes insane. And a special guest star makes an appearance.

Our heroes nearly escape the headsman's axe, despite their best efforts. Arrested for various crimes, their serendipitous stay in the palace dungeons allowed them to (somewhat) save the day after a mysterious frenzy overtook the palace servants. Right place, right time. If they hadn't been so sloppy about it, they might even have been paid. Now they'll be performing community service....

Having defeated the giant in the ravine, our heroes spoke again with the merchant of menace and then bedded down, not yet willing to use their candle or safety.  Anna slept outside the magic dome conjured by butler, due to the curse on her weapon not allowing restful sleep near her and it.  The group woke during the last of the night’s watch to see Anna slung over the shoulder of some strange figu...

Having survived the tower defense cabin, the misfortunates flee towards the castle. They were faced with a crossroads: to the left a cramped mining encampment crawling with afflicted; to the right, a long ravine guarded by a Giant. which way would they go? Norric takes a stab at a prickly problem, Carina does some light reading, Anna goes spelunking.

Castle guard Hatchet the gnoll-taur has their work cut out for them when a bunch of lunatics land in her dungeon. But hark! Is that screaming from upstairs? It looks like strange times make for strange bedfellows. Sally says goodbye to a friend, Valnon just wants to eat his chicken, Rex introduces his foot to a door, Bear does what her name implies.

"Hate to say it, but we're sandwiched all right!" With Eve in tow, the Misfortunates pile into a cabin the woods...surrounded by hundreds of Afflicted. They have exactly one minute before the hordes start beating down their door. What can they do to prepare for such a storm? Loren rips and tears, Anna does a sick wall-run, Butler bloodies the nose of their enemy.

the misfortunates escape with their lives from the clutches of Desmund Dorsal and his coterie of horrors. With Eve in tow, they are left to wonder; what is he planning with her? Butler makes a few calls, Anna makes a daring heist, and Loren makes a chilling realization.
