How is your heart leaning into the quiet of the new year? Here is another thought for us as we do.

Do you remember when you first fell in love? Does it look different now? What would it take to get back there? Okay, what would it take to get back there with Jesus? Let's talk about it together on this Monday morning.

It's interesting how the main thing that brings our souls restoration is often the thing we resist the most. Psalm 23 says, "He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul." Yet, we have become a people addicted to noise. In fact, we might even resist being quiet. Sitting in quiet. Yet, could it be that the very thing we are resisting is what our hearts need most? Let's talk about it on this...

God has more for us. But could something be blocking it? Would we be willing to remove it if it meant having more of Him? Hearing more from Him? Encountering more of His presence? The first of a new year is a good time to be asking questions like these.

What if you moved your heart into 2024 in a completely different way? It's going to be a noisy year. Rest assured. Let's look at a new way to handle this new year.

The gift of Jesus is He doesn't just give us the joy of His birth and the hope of His coming, but He gives us the gift of being present and alive and working in the "in-between" moments, too. Here is a reminder of all He is in this "in-between" life.

Nothing grows if soil is not tended to. And, one day, God will require us to give an account of what our soil produces. What will you have to offer?

We live in a world that is shocking most of us. We live in a world that feels on most days as if it can't get much worse. However, it is important to remember that we still live in it. And, we have the power of the Holy Spirit living in us. Mighty things can happen if we are living present and on mission.

We live in a world full of distractions. We live in a world that focuses on producing. But it is in the being present where true ministry happens. Because it is only there where we can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit to know His heart and have His words.

The only way to get what God has for us is to live open-handed. He cannot get anything into our clenched fists, and we could end up destroying what we hold so tightly to.

Rejection is an interesting dagger. It comes with words like "inconvenience," "devalued," "insignificant." But it is a lie. Let's combat it together on this Monday morning.

God has a plan for you, you know? A good one. One that has eternal value and can produce eternal things. Yet, often we move through life making our own plans. This could cause us to miss the eternal things God desires for us to experience.
