Fewer things in life are manipulated like words. We use them to try to get our way. To embellish something about ourselves. To make others feel good. But Jesus says we need to mean what we say. He even looks at the hearts behind our words and believe it or not, our words can determine whether we are still standing after the storm.

So often our hearts have trouble relating to God as Father because of the relationship we had with our earthly father. I pray this musing from my message on Father’s Day will afford your heart a different perspective.

I’ve learned through the years at our Weekend Experiences, that the number one thing people comment on is mine and Philly’s willingness to be vulnerable. That it gave them the freedom to do the same. That is what light does. It attracts. Let’s consider this on this Monday morning.

When God loves you so intimately, doesn't it just give you the faith to believe He has everything in your life under control?

Remember a few weeks ago I reminded you that winter only had things dormant, that life was up under there? Well, today, we are going to talk about things that might be needed to get that life to the surface.

How often have we looked at the truths in God's Word and thought they felt confining, hard maybe, even punitive? Like He was holding out on us. Instead of seeing His truths and commandments as love. The very things that protect us, guide us, and restore us. I hope today we will have a different perspective.
