As I take this year off from weekly Monday Musings, our world is still living in such tumultuous times. I pray that this study this year is one you can really dig into. So many are afraid of the book of Revelation in the Bible, but if we truly realized how it reveals Jesus to us, we may see it in a totally different way. I pray your heart is encouraged this year and I pray you grow deeper in love...

Each year I like to offer you some of my favorite Bibles, devos, and just fun things. I hope you enjoy some of these ideas to possibly add to the beginning of your new year. May they bring you deeper in love with Jesus, more aware of God the Father's love, and hungrier for the Holy Spirit at work in your life.

I recently had a personal revelation of the gift Winter can be to our hearts. I hope it gives you some permission to do some things differently for your own hearts as well.

he Holy Spirit is full of so many wonderful gifts that He brings. One of the greatest is the power to make us fearless in telling people about Jesus. As we celebrate the season of His birth, what if we prayed for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit so our hearts will become so full that we just can't help but tell others about all He has done in our lives!​

The Holy Spirit comes into our hearts at salvation. Yet, many of us never ask for anything more. However, Scripture tells us we should be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. This Living Water that changes everything. I hope today's musing will create a hunger in your heart for more of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes we hold onto old things when God is telling us it is time to let go because there is something new He wants to do. Sometimes there are old, painful things God wants us to know that are about to come to an end, and He is going to bring something new. I believe this is a word for your heart today. Pray it encourages you in whichever place you may be. ​

In this week of Thanksgiving, Jesus graciously walked me through some places of His deep provision. I pray He walks you through the same for your heart. Happy Thanksgiving, friend...

Grieving is so not easy. We want to avoid it. Set it aside. But grief will not be ignored forever. As I'm grieving today, I thought we could talk a little more about it.

Every church has an option in how they want to make their decisions, so does every life. Let's talk about this difference on this Monday morning. ​

One of the greatest hinderances to a move of the Holy Spirit in our local churches is when our services are more about entertaining people than hosting the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Culture continues to try to woo our hearts toward comfort. However, when the Holy Spirit wants all of us, it will be disruptive every single time. Let's talk about it on this Monday Morning.

Many of us have truly never allowed God to heal the wounds of our past. And when we don't allow His healing balm to wash over us and bind us up, we hinder getting all the more that the Holy Spirit has for us. ​​

Over the next six weeks, I'm going to share some excerpts from a recent message I preached entitled "What if There's More?" about both personal and corporate things that keep us from encountering the "more" of the Holy Spirit. This week I'm dealing with a topic not talked about much anymore. Sin. I pray it will encourage you and challenge you. None of us should ever want to miss God's more.

I've realized we live in a culture of 30-second sound bites, and this is a strategic scheme of the enemy. It opens our hearts up to so many untrue things. I hope your heart will be impacted with this musing this morning. ​

I hope this previous musing speaks to your heart today... If the recent storms that just passed through Tennessee showed us anything, they revealed storms are no respecter of person. However, standing after they are gone has everything to do with how we build.

Life has come at us hard. Moments that cause extreme emotion. All human. All normal. Our responsibility, however, is to hear from Jesus. And to quiet our hearts before jumping.​

I have shared this dream with you before, but the Lord just keeps bringing it back to mind. I ask you to prayerfully ask Him what He may be speaking to your heart. ​

If you spend any time on social media or driving the streets in your city, you've noticed that a spirit of meanness seems to be operating with freedom. Let's talk about it today, together, on this Monday Musing. ​

Sometimes we make life so much more difficult than we have to. The Holy Spirit has a flow. An ease. What happens when we just live our life listening? He does it better than we can. ​

I hope this previous musing speaks to your heart today... The Bible has some pretty clear - and strong - directives when it comes to engaging in conversations with a scoffing, mocking spirit.

Sometimes we think sharing Jesus is so difficult. But I think it is because we fail to realize it is simply sharing what He has done in us and for us. I hope this week's musing takes some of the fear away and gives you some excitement. ​

Every now and then when the warfare gets challenging, sometimes what our hearts need most is just to saturate in some worship. Today, I share how it can win the battles.
