Ahab accused Elijah of being a trouble-maker. But, Ahab was the real trouble-maker. He had abandoned what he knew to do. He had given up on service to Yahweh.

Obadiah, the man in charge of king Ahab's palace, greatly feared Yahweh, but still worked for a wicked king. Listen to learn about how it takes wisdom among men in order to work for Yahweh's will and way.

Sometimes, our word from Yahweh comes, "after a long time." But, Yahweh is with us, and loves us, through our weak, weary, worn times of life. The tiniest amount of faith is still faith. His power isn't hinged to our eloquence or length or loudness in prayer. He just wants us to give up trying to do it ourselves.

After a high point, comes a low point. The Sidonian widow's son dies. But, Yahweh has not left her house. We can know this for certain.

A little Sidonian widow woman honored a prophet in the name of a prophet, and she received a prophet's reward. Yahweh supplied exactly what she needed.

After the creek he was living at dried up, Yahweh sent Elijah to a widow woman, in a Canaanite city, for his provision. That seems strange to us, but Yahweh had a purpose in what He was doing. When we reject and spurn Yahweh's blessings meant for us, He has the right to take them and give them to someone else.

Yahweh can command a bird to do something, and it has to do it. Yahweh also brings messages and provisions for us from and in the most unlikely ways. Listen to learn something from considering the ravens of the sky.

The silence of Yahweh equals the judgment of Yahweh. The drought Elijah pronounced upon Ahab's regime was bad, but the absence of the prophet was even worse. Listen to learn about how law/gospel preaching is the only revival preaching that exists.

Most of the time a preacher will tell you that because Yahweh took care of Elijah, that means He will take care of you in the same way. That's most likely not accurate. What is accurate is that whether or not Yahweh physically takes care of His children, in the way we think He should, He still loves us.

It is not always pleasant to think upon, but it is certainly biblical; that Yahweh does not only bless people, but He also curses people. His curses are proof that when wickedness is on the rise, He is not asleep, and neither are His hands tied. He is Yahweh. Whatever He does is just, and He may just use one hairy preacher to do it through.

Begins a series on the prophets Elijah and Elisha. The background to Elijah's ministry is evil king of the north, Ahab. Ahab was everything opposite of holy. He followed his earthly father's example, sinned in Yahweh's sight, and married a Sidonian Baal worshiper. All of this and more is covered in this lesson.

Yahweh has blessed us a million times more than we deserve. We should all be more willing to show Him our appreciation in our singing and praising His name. He's done so much for me, I cannot tell it all; He has taken all my sins away!

It is not difficult to love someone that loves you. Even heathens do that. But to love someone who persecutes you? To love someone who speaks evil of you? Listen to learn another aspect of David's life, and most importantly, the heavenly Father's example of His love towards His enemies.

I had the opportunity to teach at another fellowship, a basic intro to Yahweh's torah/law. It ended up at about 35 minutes teaching, and 45 minutes questions and answers. Concepts like the definition of sin, definition of the New Covenant, three uses of the law, and the contrast between law and gospel are briefly covered.

David was a man of his word, and a man of kindness. This lesson focuses on David's kindness, and then the even greater kindness of Yahweh. Yahweh is kind to humans who do not deserve kindness.

Where do we find our self-worth? Is it in our job, home, or position in society? Is it based upon how much money we make or how many prestigious people we know? Listen to learn about how those IN Christ have been worth much IN Him, before the world was ever created, or time ever began.

It is interesting that in two separate salvation sermons in the book of Acts, both Peter and Paul stress the Davidic lineage of Yeshua of Nazareth. They see an importance in realizing that the Messiah they proclaim is a descendant of King David.

King David was not a perfect man; he had flaws like the rest of us, but he was quick to humble himself in repentance over sin. One of his psalms was written entirely as a lament over one of his sins.

What would it feel like to be a person that Yahweh described as "after My heart"? There is such a man in scripture, and from reading we learn just what it meant to be after the heart of Yahweh.

As husbands, we are called to be tougher on ourselves and softer on our wives. She is a delicate, precious gift from the Father. She is to be lead by a servant, not a drill Sargent. 

How is a woman to live towards her husband? What if he is an unbeliever or disobedient to the Almighty? What makes a woman beautiful? Marriages can gradually turn into what they were meant to be, but the wife must be devoted to consistently applying the biblical principles she has been given.

Our speech has power; life and death power. With it we can heal, mend, bless, love, and care. With it we can kill, tear, curse, hate, and shun. How are we using our tongue to glorify Yahweh? Is it really all that important?

Yeshua took the men on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24) on a journey through the Scriptures, interpreting in them the things concerning himself. Sometimes we read the Scriptures and forget that the understory is all about Yahweh's Messiah, Yeshua. A good example of this is the story of Joseph, son of Jacob-Israel, through Rachel.

The second accomplishment listed, taking place in the 70 week vision given to Daniel, was to make an end of sins. Could this have been accomplished during the first coming of the Messiah? Listen to learn the answer, and just how important Yeshua's life, death, and resurrection is.

In this lesson I begin looking at the 6 things Gabriel said would be accomplished within the 70 week vision shown to Daniel. The first is "to finish the transgression." What does this mean? The answer ties in to Yeshua's last words before he died upon the cross.
