As followers of Jesus we share in His death and resurrection. Our bondage to sin was put to death on the cross and buried so that we could experience new life.

Jesus was clear that no one knows the day or hour that He will return other than the Father and for this reason He tells His followers to stay ready. Staying ready looks like feeding clothing the poor, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and trusting that God is good and worthy of our faith.
