Moog and 4 track. Nice to not use a DAW. Link to the post.

Practicing live sequencing with that EP-133 and the Moog AND my 4-track, which is sounding pretty good. Link to the post.

Starting to crib together an ep-133, moog, thuja and ensoniq esq-1 setup for more live jamming/sequencing. The ep's sequencer rules, and I'm having such a blast just setting sequences up with the Moog. And summer seems to be starting earlier. Link to the post.

Well this seems entirely too long, but whatevs. Piano Solo 6 from an old notebook pre-2012. This was real slow on the initial demo but it feels different at 92 - was at 60. Man that piano I had was incapable of holding tune, but I LOVED it regardless. I found the worst string at the end there. Here's a picture of it's soundboard, and notation for today's bit. MH Practice tonight, the first where we were wired to record. Jason brought this thing in and it was very fun to play, and we played it many times. Link to the post.

Cool Things you find in old folders. I miss the 4 track app on the iphone! One of many 4-part doodles with Paul Vo's Wond. (His site's down, but a google search will bring up much.) Link to the post.

So many bday messages! I found this recording from, like, 8 years ago in a dusty old folder. "The Fog Queen". I have a small bass harmonica that plays a few notes, and I don't use it enough. Link to the post.

A little piece from a recording of yesterday's string changing. Link to the post.

Restrung my Eastman hollowbody - hadn't touched it yet since the move. It has a personality. Link to the post.

Take 2 Mashing up this old idea from Jan 6 post with an idea from Jace (Legat). Link to the post.

Practice night 2fer - Medicine Hat from 3-5, beers, then Caudal Penduncle from 7-10. We sang this part over and over. Apparently it sounds Canadian. This guy pictured rocked the glitter at our show last Saturday. Link to the post.

This is my little field recording rig, minus the parabolic mic from Soundshark. I put this out a few times a week and see what I can hear. Here are some owls in the distance I recorded Friday night. The party always seems to happen around 4am, and always closer to our bedroom on nights I'm NOT recording. While the weather holds, I'm going to find a new spot each night to place it. Link to...

Wiped the unit clean of factory installed samples and started loading live guitar snips. I'm always thinking of the first three records by the Books, always with how I sample. Link to the post.

Another feel. I had a fun trip with Rob D (pictured), Sam, and a rainbow in Winslow today. Link to the post.

Kind of a fucked up work week, but who can complain when you are looking at this in the am. They put an update out for the KO II EP 133 sampler and I love it. Link to the post.
