This idea keeps pulling on me - it was written in the middle of an insomnia bout one wednesday night in 2010 or so. "Tuktu Circle Idea" - a Tuktu Idea I don't think we finished. I'd like to map this line to one of the circulars, and one of the slider rays pieces. Link to the post.

I've been picking up Voice of Turkey at 13635 on this online shartwave radio. I mainly know Erkin Koray's amazing stuff from the 70s, and maybe this is more Turkish rock, but shazam isn't recognizing it. Pretty heavy though - would pass for metal with more distortion. Link to the post.

A little clip from a China Radio International - a station that plays this traditional music with no station breaks or announcements. This one reminded me a little of Beefheart's A Carrot is as Close as a Rabbit Gets to a Diamond - same pentatonic moves here. Link to the post.

Next Guitar Cult time is on the 9th, so I'm cobbling together bits for exploration. This time around, I'm trying to resist the urge to pre-compose everything and take it more iteratively. Small bits. I have a pile of things to go through and (minimally) demo so I can bring them to either a) Caudal Peduncle practice b) Medicine Hat practice or c) Guitar Cult practice.
