Mike and Vonia are here with their 2nd annual coverage of The Oscars! Yes, they talk a bit about that moment. But mostly they focus on the inclusion of musical numbers, the great hosting job that was done by these three funny ladies, the acceptance speeches that made them cry, and what to do about multiple nominees trying to give speeches. Opinions and general thoughts abound.

Vonia's kids have started piano, and Mike has a houseguest. Then it's thoughts on streaming services, the return of movie night, reality TV, SNL, Vonia's family visit to a museum, a disappointing mini series finale, troubles in elementary school, Thanksgiving memories, stressful television viewing, overly vocal audience members, and Mike may have found his calling. Mike and Vonia are back to doing their bi-coastal thing. Vonia is helping out at her daughter's school, and Mike is eagerly awaiting his new passport. Vonia got to spend time with friends, and Mike had a couple of memorable nights at work. Then it's the mini-series everyone is watching (and you should too!) and a mini-series Mike is watching (and you should too!), school-yard bullying (grrrrrrrrr...), dumb autocorrects, favorite Halloween television (and more), Vonia has a gift for Mike, and Mike does another reading from Caste. 

Vonia and Mike explain why they were unable to record last week, and share what they've been up to. Then it's a new format for Vonia's true crime podcast, a specific podcast episode, and a new Broadway musical. There's talk of frightened children, missing music, and a lot of discussion about grand parents, including the story of when Vonia got her ears pierced. It's a good one.

Vonia had a COVID scare (everyone is fine), and Mike trekked through a severe storm to get sushi (he does not recommend). Then it's TV, a return to theatre, more TV, dealing with anxiety, a warning to not do drugs, movie theatre annoyances, zany travel stories, and long bridges. Plus, Mike half heartedly rejects the term, "tramp stamp." Tattoos are forever, y'all...

Very special episode alert!! It was Mike's birthday and he and Vonia got to go on an amazing vacation together. Lots of food, biking on the boardwalk, swimming in the ocean, Garbage and Alanis Morissette in concert, an epic game of Jenga, and a friend's wedding. Truly an epic five days and four nights never to be forgotten.  Editors note: I really wanted to call this episode Barfing Beautiful Soup...

Mike was gaslit hardcore by someone he considers a friend, and Vonia spent some quality time with people she hadn't seen in a while. I bet they didn't pull any dirty tricks on her. Vonia’s kids are terrifyingly back in school as Mike opens a new restaurant in NYC. Important to note: Mike is not a circus performer though he will always love the Olympics. Strike first, strike hard, NO MERCY. 

Sleeping late, a trip to the beach, meal planning, and more Olympics. Then it's a lot of Apple TV+, a tiny film Mike hopes you see, a film Vonia wishes had been better, irksome previews, a silly story of how Mike's track and field dreams ended before they could begin, and then Vonia tells one of the greatest stories Mike can't believe he's never heard.
