Back in the present: Following alarming medical test results, Emily is ordered to rest at home, leaving her vulnerable and alone. Flashback to 1960: Brother Eric, a young, earnest Mormon missionary with a Southern charm, is immediately drawn to the serene beauty of the house on Evergreen Street. But the lurking darkness, disguised as the voice of the Lord, quickly takes hold, hypnotizing Eric and compelling him to commit unimaginable acts in the name of his mission.

Justin and Emily celebrate major news, unaware that the ancient foe beneath their foundation is beginning to stir. As the ominous presence wakes, Michael is struck with a severe, mysterious illness, and the voice from the void returns to deliver its most chilling warning yet.
