In Jewish tradition, wisdom ( chokhmah ) is not theoretical, but practical. It is recognized by behavior shaped by humility. James insists that true wisdom expresses itself through “good conduct” and “meekness,” a quality Yeshua/Jesus elevates in the Sermon on the Mount: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5).
