SHARING ABUNDANCE 15.09.2023 1:31
This time of year many people are sharing the abundance of the growing season with others, like thinning a flower garden. Abundance comes in many ways, like a piece of land where people can connect with Nature, or a skill that can help others, or even a welcoming smile. Support the show
WALKING IN THE RAIN 14.09.2023 1:40
Over the years I have walked in many kinds of weather, from hot and humid to cold and icy, and even in rain and snow. Walking is part of my wellness; I experience it at a pace that varies in speed, but I am always aware of the Nature around me. Support the show
ROADSIDE BOUQUETS 13.09.2023 1:21
Currently, as we walk the old gravel road, my attention is drawn to roadside bouquets of small late season flowers that will soon be swallowed up by colorful autumn leaves. It is good to remember people who disappear when drowned out by others with strong egos. Support the show
TIME TO PAUSE AND REFLECT 12.09.2023 1:11
It has been nearly sixteen years now that I have been doing a daily podcast on Nature and Life. In pausing and reflecting for a moment, I am so grateful for all Nature has taught me and continues to do so on my quest to understand my soul’s purpose. Support the show
UNIQUE GROWTH 11.09.2023 1:29
The Norway pines are different than the white pines that often grow side by side here in the foothills. The Norway pines send out a lot of tiny limbs from their trunks. People grow differently from each other as they adapt to their environments. Each one is unique in their own way. Support the show
SEEING THE UNSEEN 10.09.2023 1:30
The game camera often catches glimpses of wildlife that live on or pass through the property that we may never encounter in person. It is an unseen reality. We experience the same when we let our mind connect with the unseen that exists around us and is real. Support the show
CLOUD GAZING 09.09.2023 1:35
The clouds at sunset caught my attention and I decided to capture some images. As I examined them, my eyes went out of focus as I searched for intuitive information. This very old hypnotic technique is called scrying when we connect with our unconscious mind and beyond. Support the show
BLUEBERRY LEAVES 08.09.2023 1:24
I noticed the blueberry bushes’ leaves beginning to change color from their summer greens to fall reds. Nature is at it again, daily adding small splashes of color as autumn approaches. Small positive intentions and actions, practiced daily, add up to big changes. Support the show
RESTING PLACES 07.09.2023 1:48
On our hiking trails, we have benches placed along the way where there are views or rocks or ledges where hikers can pause and rest. On our soul’s journey, our Sources provide spots internally and externally where we can rest for a moment. Support the show
DIGGING INTO THE HILL 06.09.2023 1:59
DIGGING INTO THE HILL – Most of the hiking we do on the Center trails is either up or down hill with just a small portion on flat ground. I learned a long time ago that if I stopped to rest on the way up, it would be hard to start again. I don’t look at the top, just dig in and keep moving, just like all of life. PEEKING AROUND THE BEND 05.09.2023 1:38
A walk or a hike is much more interesting when there are bends in the trail ahead. It adds a sense of mystery to the adventure. A lot of people pay psychics money to find out what is around the bends in their lives. We have guides and angels to help as we move forward. Support the show
NICELY ARRANGED 04.09.2023 1:17
Nature does such an incredible job of putting together both small and large artistic arrangements for me to pause and appreciate on my walks, no matter what time of year it is. When we focus on the negatives in life, we can miss the parts that the Cosmos nicely arranges for us. Support the show
WALKING WITH A THEME 03.09.2023 1:23
We often go for a walk with an agenda, looking for something specific, depending on where we are and the time of year it is. If it is some place new, we look for ideas we can incorporate into our trails. Theme walks are good for the soul. Support the show
WALKING THE PATH 02.09.2023 1:57
The ground on the mountainside is uneven, and it's sometimes hard to stay balanced when walking. I take a cane with me. Another place we walk is the Ossipee Pine Barrens. It has a mile long handicap trail on flat even ground. I walk faster there. Life is often about staying balanced when things are uneven. Support the show
HEART CONNECTIONS 01.09.2023 1:47
As I walked around the grounds of the Center just before our weekly metaphysical meeting, I discovered another small stone heart. After the meeting, I received an email from a friend, a former member of our group, saying that she lost everything in the FL hurricane. The stone heart reminded me of the connections we have with others. Prayers sent. Support the show
THE LAST DAY OF METEOROLOGICAL SUMMER 31.08.2023 1:11
Today is our last opportunity to celebrate meteorological summer. When the calendar changes to September, we begin to gear up for fall. It is time to take stock of where you are in life and plan how you intend to positively progress forward. Support the show
WHAT'S REALLY OUT THERE IN SPACE 30.08.2023 1:43
The sun’s rays filtering through the clouds looked like a portal into the Cosmos. There has been a lot of interest in "worm holes" recently and perhaps we are getting close to an understanding. Support the show
Little Changes 29.08.2023 1:32
Now that we are almost to September, I am noticing little changes taking place on the mountainside starting with a few leaves at a time. During the next month each day will see more taking place. Those that are not aware will miss what’s taking place and perhaps, also within themselves. Support the show
ALL BOUND UP 28.08.2023 2:00
The small vine with pink flowers may look harmless, but it is a very invasive wildflower that we noticed at the lower edge of the Lupine Field a few years ago; it was slowly progressing towards the lupine. We made a trail along the edge to cut its progress off. People can get bound up in life in many different ways. Support the show
NATIVE AMERICAN PIPES 27.08.2023 1:06
The Native American Pipes are ready to celebrate the change of seasons. This unique shaped fungus is always a fun discovery for me. I can imagine tiny fairies dancing around them. I am also reminded of unique positive people that others celebrate being in their presence. Support the show
DAVIS POND 26.08.2023 1:17
From the top of the Lupine Field we can look down on a small body of water named Davis Pond. Interestingly enough, Davis is my wife’s maiden name. Even though there may be no kin relationship, there is a synchronicity that is true for most of us wherever we go. Everything is connected. Support the show
BRILLIANT HIBISCUS 25.08.2023 1:56
Several years ago we were given two hibiscus plants that do not look as if they survived the winter until they begin to grow in July. By late August their brilliant flowers open wide. I think of brilliant people who do not think of themselves as brilliant but are willing to share. Support the show
IN A TANGLE 24.08.2023 1:37
There is a nature walk in Madison through the Pine Barrens. When I was enjoying a stroll there, I noticed a section of trees that seemed to be tangled up and all out of order. I wondered what weather event caused this. People can find themselves in tangles, but they can work their way out with patience. Support the show
THE GOLDEN FIELD 23.08.2023 1:32
Now that we are in the last few days of August, the Lupine Field has turned to yellow as the golden rod has reached its peak. It is time to begin to prepare for fall. It may be going back to school or starting a new project or changing a habit. Change is in the air. Support the show
MUSHROOM SEASON 22.08.2023 1:26
All the recent rain has helped create a productive mushroom growing season. I do not know enough about wild mushrooms to harvest them, but I know many people look forward to seeing them appear. We have thoughts that grow like mushrooms. Some are productive. Some are dangerous. Support the show
