While the merciful patience of God means good and evil will coexist for a season, that will not always be so. This is both hope of the Christian and warning for those who are not in Christ.

The work of God through the Word of God never returns void, but the fruit it bears in us depends on the condition of our hearts.

The parables of Jesus remind us that truth is for the heart not just the brain and hearts that receive the truth of the Kingdom will do so in abundance!

When we don't have enough, aren't brave enough, or just don't feel like we are enough. Jesus--our Good Shepherd--is always enough.

Sometimes our neediness comes in the form of questions and in the form of request. But all of our neediness should lead us to the gospel and result in praise.

We'll be studying the 73rd Psalm together as we explore Asaph's testimony of sustaining and sanctifying grace. Psalm 73 very much reads like a liturgy, or progression of the Christian life. It is one of the most relatable passages for the Christian. We'll explore the importance of lament and the sanctuary as we seek to replace envy with eternity by fixing our eyes on the Cross!

Only through the death of Jesus can anyone know the fruit of resurrection! And that fruit continues to grow in our midst as we are called to die to self and follow Jesus.

The forgiveness of God is abundant and free in Christ, but when the Holy Spirit reveals the reality of Jesus to someone and they consciously and willful reject this reality, Jesus says that is unforgivable. 

To say we believe something with our mouths, but live something different with our lives is rotten fruit. And rotten fruit on the outside shows that someone is rotten on the inside.

The Sabbath is fulfilled in the mercy of Jesus and the validity of its observation is measured in the receiving and giving of this mercy in and through Christ.

Cynicism and apathy are dangerous diseases that only Jesus can cure. And left unchecked, they will lead to destruction.

Doubt is a common reality, even for followers of Jesus, but what separates doubt from unbelief, is where we go with our doubts.

Wherever God dwells is a sacred place and wherever God’s people gather in His name, God promises to be. Might we be zealous for the spaces God occupies with His people and stewarded these places for the purposes He ordains. Namely His glory, His grace, and the welcoming of outsiders. As we look towards tomorrow…we know that Mercy Village Church is in good hands because Jesus—the one who builds the Church—is the one who created the Church in yesterday, the one who leads the Church today, and the one who will sustain the Church in all our tomorrows.
