In the final part of our study we take a more detailed look at some of the references that are being made in Habakkuk's prayer considering the importance of looking back at the events of the past and seeing how the faithfulness of GOD has brought about salvation and redemption thereby giving us hope for the future as we see events unfold.

This week we begin to look at chapter 3 of Habakkuk where we begin to see the final prayer of the prophet. We discuss how the prayer is linked to Psalm 7 and the need for the believing community to address the issue of repentance when assumptions are made about what they believe HaShem should do based on their own views rather than faith in the Holy One's purposes.

This week we conclude the second chapter of Habakkuk. We look at the connection with the account of Noach and the cursing of Canaan and how this ties in with the passage. In this study we continue to look at the laments that are set out in chapter 2 and the Messianic implications that are beyond the context of the historical events.

This is the second part of the Friday study. This next section looks at the importance of the beam as the connection between us and heaven, and us and our brother. In the fourth part of our study of Habakkuk, we begin to look at the passage where the "woes" are being proclaimed by HaShem. We consider these in their historical context and in the modern day. This week we look at the beginning of the second response that Habakkuk receives from GOD. We also discuss Habakkuk's preparation for that response and how it informs us regarding our expectation of the outcome of events based on our own biases rather than the outcome of GOD's will and intention. As we continue our study in Habakkuk, we look at the response that he receives from GOD to his complaint. We discuss how some of what is revealed by GOD is similar to aspects of what we experience today and what we will experience in the future. Notes are available at www.mbmukfamily.com

We begin our study in the 8th book of Trei Asar - the prophet Habakkuk. In our opening we look at how prophecy works and consider the relevance of Habakkuk's name in the context of his petition before HaShem.

In our final study of Tomer Devorah we look at the last three attributes together as they follow on from the previous attribute. We see the importance in trusting on the the Absolute Nature of the promises made by the Holy One and our responsibility in being the evidience of that trust in our confused world.

As we look at the Ninth Attribute we consider how it expresses the completion of the work of Yom Kippur, the Scapegoat and the work of King Messiah. We also discuss how there is limitation placed upon the wickedness of the leaders who look to replace the Creator and the work being done in us individually as we work on our souls daily. Our discussion this week looks at how the world that we exist in presently has changed since being created and is now a form of isolation chamber which separates us from the healthy environment of the world to come.

This week as we continue our studies in Tomer Devorah, we discuss the third and fourth attributes. We look at how this now applies more widely to whole of humanity.

We continue our study of the 13 Attributes of Mercy based in Micah 7. This week look at the phrase "He Bears Sin" and how that effects our understanding of redemption, sin and our responsibility toward GOD oand those around us.

This week we look at the beginning of Nachum chapter 3. We discuss the historical context of the destruction of the Assyrian empire, but then consider the lessons that were meant to be learnt from these events, both in the context of the southern Kingdom of Judah and how we can understand it for present age.
