This week we are re-releasing an old favorite. We cover some old Weather Reports, July’s 2020’s What’s David Working on Today, The 3Rs, Alan R., Scissors, I Have a Radio and The Cowboy and the Frenchman.

This week we wrap-up and mash-up, Sense & Sensibility and a chunk of Twin Peaks season 2. We hear from some of our listeners, decide which books to read this summer and let you know what’s coming next on the podcast.

This week we wrap-up Sense and Sensibility with our favorite book club guest. We discuss how the book can be read on two levels and why it works for both. We also wrestle with our inner Elinor and Marianne and try to figure out which we need more of in our lives. Big thanks to Kristen Smith for joining us!

This week on Twin Peaks the town is having fun getting ready for the Miss Twin Peaks Pageant…mostly. It’s not all love and flowers though as ominous music follows Windom Earle, spying around town.

This week we reach the end of Sense and Sensibility. All is resolved and everyone is paired up to their and our mutual satisfaction. We write some new chapter titles and thoroughly enjoy the final chapter.

This week we cover S2Ep18, On the Wings of Love. In this delightful episode love is in the air and cuteness abounds, meanwhile the boys brave booby traps in the very symbolic (and very 80’s) Owl Cave.

This week is our penultimate Sense and Sensibility episode and we are covering chapters 40-44. The girls finally leave London, Marianne falls to a putrid fever and Willoughby makes an impassioned plea.

This week we are covering Twin Peaks S2 Ep 17, Wounds and Scars. Harry is having a noir breakdown, Norma’s sister Annie comes to town and Windom Earle positions his pieces.

This week we cover chapters 35 - 39 of Sense and Sensibility. The truth finally comes out and everyone has to live with the consequences. Oh la! We over analyze the characters, wish for a few extra scenes and prepare to finally get out of London.

This week gets weird and interesting with Twin Peaks S2E16, The Condemned Woman. There’s a meeting of the angels at the Roadhouse and Josie’s time is up as menacing and supernatural forces abound in Twin Peaks.

This week we cover chapters 30-34 of Sense and Sensibility. In these chapters we learn why good breeding is better than good nature sometimes and why sometimes it is not. The girls have to endure their most annoying acquaintances and relations and do so in a way which delights us.

This week we cover episode 15 of season 2 of Twin Peaks, Slaves and Masters. We are pleasantly surprised by this much denigrated episode, James and Evelyn have a final dramatic confrontation, Ben deals with his psychosis in a most theatrical manner and Nadine, Ed and Norma give us a tiny taste of thruple life.

This week we reach the halfway point and welcome back our old friend Kristen Smith. We read chapters 23-29, almost everyone goes to London and many turning points ensue, then we chat the whole first half with Kristen.

This week we cover Season 2 episode 14 of Twin Peaks, Double Play. In this particularly scary episode we question whether we can trust Evelyn, wonder what Cooper isn’t telling us about Windom Earle, in fact there are several questionable character choices that we mull over.

This week we are covering chapters 17-22 of Sense and Sensibility. We battle Saturday brains and try to understand why characters are acting how they’re acting. We start with Edward, end with Lucy and psychoanalyze Elinore throughout.

This week we are talking about Twin Peaks season 2 episode 13, Checkmate. We have some highs and some lulls and several annoying dudes but by the end we are left with that quintessential Twin Peaks dread.

This week is M+W week as we talk over the Marianne, Willoughby love story. Elinore gets psychoanalyzed, Marianne tests the limits of propriety and we delight in everyone’s secret judgments.

This week we cover Twin Peaks season 2 episode 12, “The Black Widow.” This episode is silly and yet filled with mystery, witches, spooky farms, and the reappearance of an old friend as a giant thunderstorm sets the mood.

This week we are super excited to be starting our next book, Sense and Sensibility! We meet the Dashwood women, their horrible relations and potential love interests. We are already thoroughly enjoying the book and laughing along with Austen shady reads of most of the characters.

This week we pick back up where we left off with Twin Peaks season 2 episode 11, Masked Ball. The show starts several new story lines and introduces us to a lot of new characters, even though it’s the middle of the season it feels like a new one and we are excited to go on the ride.

This week we are back in the saddle with our first new episode of 2022. We check-in with what we covered at the end of last year, find out how wild our hearts are and look ahead to what’s on the horizon.
