We are starting the New Year off with a check-in. We discuss what’s coming up for us on the podcast, go over how our holiday’s went, talk about our goals for the new year and take some quizzes that seem a littl too accurate.

‘Twas the day before Christmas and we wanted to see some Hot Frosty. Originally it was going to be a commentary but it turned into a lovely retelling, a la Christian. We hope you all have lovely holidays and a happy New Year! We will talk to you again in 2025.

This week is the second half of our video game recap of 2024. We talk about the switch games we played and some video game related podcasts and YouTubers we discovered.

This week we are reviewing the video games we played this year. It was a surprisingly long list and ended up being a long episode, so we split it up into two parts. In the first part we talk about our Play Station, iOS, and computer games.

We decided at the last minute that we simply had to talk about Thanksgiving food one of our favorite topics. We also caught up on what we’ve been watching the last two months and what we’re covering next month.

This week we have the thrilling conclusion of Lost in Austen, episodes 3 and 4. We wait to see if Amanda Price can fix the story and achieve a happy ending for the not just the characters but for herself as well.

We were going to record a normal episode but the real world intruded and we had a lot on our minds. We wanted to share it in case you wanted to do some processing with us. Hopefully you feel a little better after listening, we felt better after recording it. If it’s not for you, our normal episode will be out tomorrow.

This week we are starting the fun mixed up mini-series Lost in Austen. Amanda Price finds her self in the middle of her favorite Jane Austen story but can she keep it on the rails. We are here for the ride.

This week we wrap our spooky Halloween fare with episode 2 of the 1990 miniseries It. A Tim Curry performance that created clown nightmares for an entire generation. We venture back into the sewers with the adult versions of the Loser’s club.

This week we start our Halloween fare and we couldn’t do it without a splash of Tim Curry so we are covering the 1990 miniseries, It. It may not be quite as scary as the new version but it is twice as nostalgic and Tim Curry as Pennywise is extra iconic.

This week is our five year podcast anniversary and the conclusion of The Secret History of Twin Peaks. We get some answers about the authors and as always are left with plenty of questions to prepare us for season three.

This week we are right in the middle of The Secret History of Twin Peaks. The history of the town and its most prominent citizens are in full focus in this section. A lot of our info is coming from the Bookhouse Boys library and it’s chock full of secrets.

This week we start on The Secret History of Twin Peaks, by Mark Frost and covering pages 1-123. We have a lot of fun parsing historical fact from fiction and learning how the mythology of Twin Peaks fits into it all.

This week we played the video game Regency Love from Tea for Three studios. It is an interactive novel/dating sim for iOS that has been round since 2013. We had a lot of fun playing it and speculating on all the storylines we missed.

This week we do our final wrap up on the summer of obscurity. We give our thoughts on this summer and all that we covered. Then we take a quiz to find out what kind of obscure thing we are.

This week we have our last movie in the summer of obscurity, although it may not be all that obscure. It’s got Tim Curry doing an un expected accent, Laura Linney shooting missiles from the sky, and one very cute talking gorilla.

We are nearing the end of summer of obscurity and we couldn’t possibly wrap it up without reviewing David Lynch’s Dumbland. The name says it all, but can we find something intelligent to say about it. We will let you be the judge of that.

This week we are reaching new heights of obscurity with the 1971 BBC adaptation of Sense and Sensibitily, infamously Maya’s least favorite adaptation. Can we find things to like about it this watch?

This week we have a commentary for an obscure 80’s horror movie written by Mark Frost. It’s the kind of movie you really need a friend to watch with, if you want to make it fun, so why not watch it with us?

This week we are catching up on our summer of obscurity, talking 80’s music, and the benefits of drones.

This week we are reaching back to 1985 and one of our favorite 80’s fantasy movies and a Tim Curry movie to boot, Legend. It’s got all the tropes, none of the pants, and it’s thoroughly enjoyable.

This week we wrap up the BBC Persuasion from 1971. We love this Anne and have mixed reactions to the other characters but overall we are really enjoying these older adaptations.

This week we are reaching back to 1970’s BBC yet again, this time to experience their adaptation of Persuasion. We watched the first half of this very 70’s adaptation that has a lot going for it, and maybe a few things working against it.

This week we finish up the short lived comedy that followed Twin Peaks, On the Air. It was a wild ride and didn’t follow the conventional rules of comedy. Was it successful? Maybe not entirely but we were glad to get to watch it regardless.
