Keir Starmer for former DPP thought the Washington protocol for Mandatory Reporting to be simple and effective. Yvette Cooper announced in July that Labour supports #MR. Sir Keir is a prospective Labour MP assembling Labour's proposals in this realm. We hope he avoids 'the status quo in new clothes' which a cadre of safeguarding NGO's are attempting to fashion for the DfE.
