Child protection in Regulated Activities only has significant room for improvement. The solid foundation of Mandatory Reporting legislation is essential for to functioning child protection culture.

Was Mr Loughton suggesting abusees should not repeat the due diligence they conducted on two previous candidates which led to their resignations, and instead rely on the Home Office to get the appointment right? Fi Read describes the trauma of the criminal justice system experienced by complainants of sexual abuse. This was compounded because her father still lived in Australia where the abuse on her was perpetrated. She was eventually denied the opportunity having her father father plead guilty in court which he had indicated was his intention.

Mrs May talks of the 'enormity' of #CSA + #CSA in England - but it is still insufficient for her to commission a Statutory Inquiry. Why? There's a reason. Even Bill Cash MP (C) (Stonyhurst College) and former Shadow Attorney General said it should be Statutory. But every member of the Home Office team is leaning on the door to stop it.
