Lucius from Cyrene, one of the prophets and teachers at Antioch
Luke-Acts CEB (Common English Bible)
Reciting two books (or scrolls) from our brother Luke from memory, one chapter at a time. This memorization project has already taken 4 years and yet the payoff is insurmountable - to get to know the One who only can fill my empty soul. You will definitely find me messing up in these episodes of reciting Scripture from memory. If you are completely insane, and you listen to every episode as the come out, you will hopefully see with me my increased familiarity with Luke-Acts and will become familiar with Luke-Acts as well. This is a different audio Bible - an uncut audio Bible. gracias.

Acts 27 CEB 09.02.2026 7:07
Ship rack! Ship rack! Talk to text. Doesn’t know how to sound out. WRECK! Oh my goodness. Anyway, this is a tough chapter, especially if you imagine what it would’ve been like to be on that ship to be so obsessed with survival that you don’t eat for two straight weeks. That is really hard to imagine. Especially when the food was there. They are so stressed out in a way, this mirrors, Jesus trial a...
Acts 26 CEB 08.02.2026 5:28
Some people would say that this is one of the key chapters of the book of acts. Paul giving his defense before King, Agripa, and you see Paul’s sensitivity that he actually wants to help turn King, a gripa, a part of such an evil, wicked family to become a Christian to follow Jesus. You see Paul himself was an evil and wicked person, and so it makes sense to him. The other evil and wicked persons...
Acts 25 CEB 07.02.2026 6:07
Now Paul is presenting his case, or is accused in front of another governor of the Roman Empire. People refusing to let him go. Just makes it so that he is able to preach before more people. He preachers before Felix and his wife, Drew Cilla. Drew Cilla was the daughter of Hart Agrippa number one. And this sister of a Grippin number two and Bernice that we will meet in the next chapter, scratch th...
Lucas 24 CEB 06.02.2026 7:04
The resurrection. The resurrection! The first resurrection! Blossom and holy are those who participate in the first resurrection! Jesus, resurrection started at all the apostles in James, and John are announcing that the resurrection of the dead was happening, because of Jesus, the priest, the captain of Temple garden this edges. He did not like this at all. This is where, at all, Henderson on thi...
Acts 24 CEB 06.02.2026 4:28
Paul stands trial a lot. People bring charges against him a lot. This is reflective in the book of Luke of Jesus, talking about his followers being brought before kings and governors. And Paul is the natural continuation of what Jesus said would happen with his disciples. In a fact, in a way, Luke begins his second book, this book, by saying that the first book was what Jesus began to do in Teachi...
Acts 23 CEB 05.02.2026 5:21
One thing to note in this chapter that is easily overlooked, at least by me, is that the high priest and Anaya is different than the high priest anus. My talk to text is really hilarious. Because it just called the high priest. A bad word. This shows how easy it is to mistake. The name, a NNAS with a NANIUS. These are two different people. The high priest, annas had many sons, who were also high p...
Acts 22 CEB 04.02.2026 5:23
Paul gives a speech about his encounter with Jesus and his call to speak to the gentiles. This really really really makes the Jewish people mad. I wonder why it makes them mad? It’s interesting. How terms mean different things to the ages. A gentle is something that I read of as myself, I think of gentiles as good people like me. Why would the jews not like them? All I have to think about is today...
Acts 21 CEB 03.02.2026 7:33
Paul comes to Jerusalem, and this is a chapter that is revisited quite a bit. Paul refers back to this later of what happened when they grabbed him and sees him in Jerusalem. The commander refers back to this event when he writes his letter to the governor. This is a chapter that is referred back to a lot. What did Paul do wrong? The eventual answer is that he didn’t do anything wrong. That he was...
Acts 20 CEB 02.02.2026 8:17
We have a very interesting story. In this chapter of Paul. Preaching for so long that someone falls asleep. Of course, this is something that is very common to all people preachers, often talk way too long. And sometimes the preacher might even realize you know what I’m talking way too long, but the interesting thing about this passage is that this young man falls asleep. Falls from the third floo...
Acts 19 CEB 01.02.2026 8:48
We have some really interesting stuff happening in this chapter. Paul spends quite a bit of time in the city of Ephesus. We have the Holy Spirit. We have the Amazing Miraculous Healing through Evan, Pauls, apron or napkins. We have people who are trying to cast out demons, and they don’t know what they’re doing. And they don’t understand the power. They’re trying to use. The name of Jesus is not a...
Acts 18 CEB 31.01.2026 5:31
Priscila and Aquilla. This is a power couple in the book of ax. This is a key chapter for them where we see their relationship to Paul. We also see how the Roman Caesar affected their life. We also see how they begin to help shape Apollos and his ministry.
Acts 17 CEB 30.01.2026 6:55
Paul Salas go on a journey again and we have Tenia and we have a Baria two places that have different responses to the preaching of the gospel and Paul. Someone want to beat the crap out of him and someone to study the scriptures to see if what they’re saying, is true. Then we go to Athens, I believe, and we have Paul’s speech on Mars Hill.
Acts 16 CEB 29.01.2026 7:42
Paul and Silas go on a journey. They meet Timothy and they meet Lydia and they meet at Jay. Phillipi is a key part of this chapter the Jailer, the person who threw them into prison. I guess you could call him. A correctional officer. He and his whole family. Get baptized.
Acts 15 CEB 28.01.2026 9:07
The Jerusalem council of disciples. We have a Jerusalem council of apostles and elders. That decide something. What is interesting to note is the similarities between this Jerusalem council, and the Jerusalem council, where Gamaliel tries to persuade them that they might be fighting against God. And here we have Peter essentially saying the same thing. And we have Barnabas and Paul going out with...
Acts 14 CEB 27.01.2026 6:16
It seems that Paul and Barnabas are in trouble quite a bit, and in this chapter. We find how crazy that trouble can sometimes be. In one moment people can be worshiping you as a God, and in the very next moment, they can be stoning you to kill you. How fickle are crowds? The example of the futility of people pleasing is very evident in this chapter. Paul, of course, is not a people pleaser. He tel...
Acts 13 CEB 26.01.2026 9:46
Here we go on a missionary journey with Paul with Saul and Barnabas Barnabas. We encounter a sour sour, or a magician, Paul turns his magic back on himself, and we have something interesting. In this chapter that is easily overlooked. We read about the name change of Saul or his double name, Saul, who is also called Paul within a sentence or so. Of this we read about a governor of Cypress, who is...
Acts 12 CEB 25.01.2026 4:20
Peter gets locked up again. Peter has already been locked up. So many times in this book, and one of his dear friends, James, the brother of John gets killed with a sword. Peter is about to be killed by Hart, Hart, HEROD. But God has a way of switching things around of lifting those who are make themselves low and making themselves low. Those who lift themselves up and so Peter, who is low is brou...
Acts 11 CEB 24.01.2026 5:07
Peter goes up to Jerusalem and the apostles and the circumcised believers are not very happy with him at all. They are totally missed at what he did with the gentiles eating with them! What the heck are you doing Peter, but Peter helps them realize that they’re not upset with Peter, but they’re upset with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit then continues to break out beyond even Cornelius his house...
Acts 10 CEB 23.01.2026 7:23
This is another major episode in the book of ax. Cornelius and Peter have an interaction. That interaction is dictated by the Lord. The Lord is the one who wanted this chapter to happen. Peter was not interested in this happening. Ellis was not necessarily expecting this, but this to happen. This is a theme in the book of that that it’s really not about the acts of the apostles at all, but the acc...
Acts 9 CEB 22.01.2026 7:02
I talked about this chapter in acts. Eight instead of this chapter, which it should’ve been an act nine. My bad. If you want to know about this chapter, go back and read the description and the chapter before, because I’m not as smart as AI. I can’t add that well, and I think it’s sometimes fun to send people on little rabbit trails to find things. I guess I should say that ask eight was about per...
Acts 8 CEB 21.01.2026 7:34
One of the key stories in the book of Acts. Paul, on the road to Damascus meets Jesus Christ. This is the first chapter that describes the story, but this story is retold over and over again through the book in different ways. Some very small, and some bigger. Paul shares the story with the governor Felix. He shares the story with King, a Agrippa and Bernice. Anna, Anias is a very interesting char...
Acts 7 CEB 20.01.2026 8:47
Stephens speech before the Jerusalem council goes through the history of the Israelites from Abraham Ka Isaac to Jacob to the 12th patriarchs to Moses. It spends a lot of time on Moses a huge amount of time. In fact, I would say that approximately a3. Sorry a half of the speech consists, or more than half consists of Moses story
Acts 6 CEB 19.01.2026 2:43
Problems often happen, and there’s divisions in a group that should be united
Acts 5 CEB 18.01.2026 6:05
The Holy Spirit continues to move in the church, bringing Healing and all kinds of other cool things and Ananias and Saphira. What’s the deal with that? That is such a crazy thing, huh?
Acts 4 CEB 17.01.2026 5:32
