Artist, producer and engineer Sam Evian has been busy up in the Catskills working on his upcoming third album at his home studio. His years as an engineer at Brooklyn’s Figure 8 has given him a skill that has led to acts like Big Thief and Blonde Redhead to head to Upstate New York to work in his own studio.

Andy Savours trained under legendary producers Flood and Alan Moulder , quickly establishing himself in the engineering field for high-profile acts like Sigur Rós , The Horrors , and The Killers . We chat about his process in the studio, and what it was like recording MBV by My Bloody Valentine.
