Michael Griffin pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court recently to 8 counts of indecent assault on twins Mary and Regina Cooney. The abuse which occurred between 1974 and 1982, began when the girls were aged 4 and continued until they were 12. The twins waiving their right to anonymity ensured Griffin was named.
