What does it mean to have power? Simon the Sorcerer did not understand the power of God. Do we?

In difficulty God can bring about new life. The gospel came to the Samaritans while the church was being persecuted and scattered. Are we prepared for the difficult times?

Stephen concludes his testimony of the how God has reached out to Israel; calling them to Himself. Moses was a model of the one who was to come, Jesus Christ. Stephen calls all of us to ask a question. "Are we ignoring what God is saying to us?"

Why is what we place our identity in, so important? What does it mean to find our identity in Christ? What identity are speaking over others?

Moses tried to bring salvation to the Jews but it was rejected. Stephen continues to explain the continual rejection of the Lord by His people. Are we listening to the Lord's leading in our lives? Stephen is warning all of us to not be a stiff necked people when it comes to following the Lord.

What the enemy meant for evil, God can bring about good. Stephen continues his attack on the false thinking of the religious leaders by mentioning Joseph's rejection by his brothers. The history Israel is marked by rejection of the Holy Spirit's leading. What is God trying to tell you? Are you listening?

Would we respond to suffering like the disciples? How to do we continue grow in our trust of God?

What does it mean to fear the Lord? What is our picture of God? Do we see Him as scripture describes or do we try to change Him to fit our own desires? God is zealous for His church. Are we zealous for His holiness?

What does it mean to have boldness? What does boldness from God look like? Does God want us to be bold? If the church was bold, what difference would it make in the world?

What is something you showed determination in? Are we determined in sharing the truth with others in love? Are we determined followers of Jesus?

Peter shares the good news with the worshippers at the temple. Are we prepared to share at any moment about the hope that is within us? Do we share the truth with others? Or is our understanding of love so shallow that we withhold the truth? We are all in need of a savior. Let us be ready at all times to share the good news with others!

What do we offer to others? Do we let our busy lives take over the opportunities God is giving us to join Him in ministering to others? How mindful are we of the Holy Spirit's leading in our lives?

The promise of God was to restore our relationship with Him through His Son. The promise is for all those who put their trust in Jesus. We conclude our look at Acts 2 as we see the response of thousands of people to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Peter and disciples were in preparation as they waited on the promised Holy Spirit. This preparation is evident as Peter calls all of Israel to put their trust in Jesus as Lord and Christ. Are we prepared for when the Holy Spirit opens doors of ministry?

God brings reconciliation. By God's mercy, humanity was scattered when they were drawn to glorify themselves at the Tower of Babel. When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples at Pentecost, unity of language happened as they worshiped the Lord in multiple tongues. God is continuing to bring the reconciling unity to a broken world. Are we ready to join Him in that pursuit?

What does it mean to be numbered among the followers of Jesus? As we look at how the disciples replaced the traitor Judas, come examine the actions of the disciples, as they carry on living after Jesus has ascended. We continue to see how the first century church was born.

How did the early church spread? The power and the witness of the Holy Spirit encouraged the amazing spread of the gospel. How did that witness begin? Have we been obediently waiting on the Lord? Do we want to see the power and witness of God in our lives?

The tomb is empty! What does the resurrection of Jesus mean for our lives?

Do we enter into other's lives like Jesus? With humility? With authority?

When Jesus returns, how will He find His church? Or His followers? Will we reflect Christ or another image? Do we want to grow in our walk with the Lord or are we spinning our wheels?

The Lord is patient towards all of us, but He will one day return and end the cycle of sin in our world. What is our response to this? Are we leading others towards Christ or away from Him?

God gives warning about the consequences of sin. His warnings are clear when it comes to false teachers and those who would lead anyone away from Christ. Let us make sure we are not leading other people away from the goodness of God.

How do we know someone is a false teacher? Why is it so important to understand how to identify false teachers? What do we do when we are faced with this problem? Peter stated that we will always have false teachers.

Peter's life was changed when Peter came to know Jesus. Knowing God changes our lives. As we continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord the fruit of that shows in our lives. Do we long to know God better? To know His voice?

The Lord wants us to experience the blessings of following Him. When we devote ourselves to following after the Lord and trust Him we will be changed by him. What are devoting our time to? Are we willing to open the door to what God wants to show us?
