Essendon’s 77-point Anzac Day loss has sparked calls from Amos for the Bombers to be stripped of the fixture. Meanwhile, Hawthorn’s draw with the Pies gives Amos plenty to work with as he questions whether Gunston is past it and whether Watson is too small.

Hamish thinks Essendon is back on track and Amos says there's nothing to worry about despite Hawthorn just falling across the line.

Hamish is excited about Essendon's future direction - but specualtes about what "full support of the Board" means for Scott's future after Andrew Welsh came out offering his unqualified support. Amos consoled himself with a positive result from Hawthorn after Liverpool crashed out of the Champion's League

Hamish and Amos compare notes on the recent FA Cup flop from Liverpool and Haaland's return to form, Amos barely contains his excitement after a Hawks win and Hamish finally has something positive to say.

Amos rails against fully ticketed games when there are only 70000 people there - but that's the only downside he could find from last Friday night. Hamish, far from his usual positive self, thinks that the Bombers are in a world of hurt and the coach will struggle to see the year out.

Hamish is up and about prior to Round 1, especially after the Hawks lose in opening round. Let's see how long this lasts for.

After a lengthy preseason break Hamish and Amos are back for 2026 sharing their expertise in Moguls skiing, the state of the Australian T20 team, EPL managers and of course, making the case for how both Essendon and Hawthorn will win the Premiership this year.

Whilst Amos is making his September plans, Hamish is trying to find positives in what has become a "trying" season.

Hamish calls the Essenon and Richmond game the worst game in VFL/AFL history. Amos thinks that the Hawks can still make the Top 4

Amos is quietly confident but won't back them in just yet, whilst Hamish questions whether any other team has ever lost the bye round as badly as Essendon did.

Amos reviews the Hawks at the halfway point of the season and thinks they finish the regular season in 5th. For the Bombers, Hamish thinks the bye has come at the right time.

In this episode Hamish bemoans Essendon giving up a 5 goal head start the last two weeks, whilst Amos thinks that the Hawks are back on track after a win against the Bulldogs.
