Many people want God’s blessings, but few want to serve and follow him as Lord. In our passage, we see that God not only made us to follow him, but promises to bless those that pursue and seek him over everything. 

In this sermon, pastor Lorenzo gives our fathers an encouraging message, reminding all of us that God uses families to reach the world for his glory.

God’s plan will not be stopped by our disobedience. He is free to cancel and change our plans.

God rules and reigns over every person and nation. Although we are often divided by many issues, God is never divided in his purpose, his plan, and his love.

It’s a new day. Noah and his family are multiplying, tending to the land, but sin still exists. Moses, the author of Genesis, makes one thing very clear: humanity will continue to sin if left to ourselves.

The waters have subsided, Noah is called to leave the ark, and God establishes his new covenant with man.

God has casted judgement on the earth, and now the rain comes. In just forty days, the Lord will undo creation, destroy every thing, but save Noah and his family. 

In this passage, we learn that God’s grace is far greater than we think it is, and we are more sinful than we think we are.

Genealogies are often overlooked, but Genesis 5 contains more than just names and how long people lived. Among the many names listed one name stands out, Enoch.

Jesus is alive and our hope is in him alone. Christ is risen and rules and reigns as Lord over all Creation.

In this sermon are reminded of the price that Jesus paid for our sin. There is no hope, no answer for sin apart from the atoning work of Christ on Calvary.

God’s timing is perfect. However, perfect does not mean it is according to our preferences. Often times, God works when we least expect it. Rather than resisting his timing, we ought to trust in his process and not ours. We can as hard as we possibly can, yet it will never be greater or outdo his plan. God sees every possible outcome, knows what could, can and will happen, and promises to work all...

The story of Cain and Abel is a humble reminder of having authentic worship before the Lord. We are not free to worship his as we please, or believe whatever we think about him. We must always seek to worship God in Spirit and in truth.

Since Genesis 3, sin’s effects have been felt throughout the cosmos. It’s not only around us, but lays at the very center of our being. In order to understand the vast reach that sin has, we must first understand why the Fall was such a disastrous moment in history. 

Sin and temptation is all around us. Their reach has extended to every corner of our world, and hides deeply in our hearts. This was not always the case, but is the result of the Fall seen in Genesis. 

Genesis 2 is a picture of what a perfect world looks like. Humans were truly free to obey God, and lived a place that was unencumbered by sin. This picture is only a reminder of what took place in the past, but a glimpse of the promise, purpose, and paradise that will be fulfilled in Christ.
