All four Gospels give an account of Jesus being anointed by a woman as an act of worship. Mary of Bethany anoints Jesus’ feet and wipes them with her hair as an act of worship. In all four accounts the woman is criticized by someone for her extravagant worship, yet defended and commended by Jesus. This prophetic act is part of Jesus final week journey to the cross.

We need all 4 gospels just like we need the body of Christ. Isaiah 9 contains one of the clearest declarations of Immanuel. In this prophecy we see the coming not only of the King but also the establishment of His kingdom and we consider the power and purpose of His government. Heavens government is a government of peace and goodwill and as believers we are called to live in it NOW.
