The drop in job openings last month (-1,117,000) is larger than the drop in job openings in March 2020 (-1,087,000). The Fed raised rates by 75 bps today in order to battle inflation. They're likely going to keep on raising rates. They're going restrictive mode, nearing that meaning that they're willing to take on quite a bit of economic weakness in order to slow the economy down, which is their way of managing inflation.
