October 25th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald There is no room for pride or arrogance in the body of Christ. All that we have in Christ we did not earn; we received. This is the heart of our passage for this week. 1 Corinthians 4:7 says, “For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive?” The implied answer is obvious: nothing! All that we have in Christ, we received. By grace...

October 18th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald What do you think of when you hear the word “Preacher”? Do you think of a man in a Black robe or a motivational speaker or maybe a self-help guru? But what does scripture say a preacher really is? Paul has already described a preacher as a farmer. In our passage this week, he’ll describe a preacher as a builder. As a builder, Paul understands the need for a...

October 11th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald Paul has established two very foundational truths in 1 Corinthians 1-2. First, you do not become a Christian because you have a high IQ, a great intellect, brilliant oratory skills or because of your moral excellence. You are a Christian because God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, opened your eyes to the beauty of the message of the cross of Christ. E...

October 4th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald There is no other book like the Bible. I have read a few other books more than once. I have a couple of books that I have read three times, but I read the Bible every day. I can’t get enough of it. It never gets old. The Bible isn’t just a book or a historical narrative. The Bible reveals God, and it is the foundation of God’s people. As we gather this weeken...

September 27th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald The creativity of man is impressive. Just think of the technological advances over the last 30 years. Technology has shifted from slow, wired, dial-up connections and bulky desktop machines to an era of pocket-sized supercomputers and instantaneous global cloud-based communication. That’s just technology. Think of the scientific and medical advances. We ha...

September 20th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald Imagine gathering the history faculty of any major state university and explaining to them that there is no way to understand history without a Bible. Beyond that, there is no way to understand the Bible until they understand that the cross is the pinnacle of God’s revelation of Himself to man. In other words, there is no way to truly understand history wi...

September 6th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald Next week we will begin walking through Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians. (Actually, it was his second letter to them, but more on that next week). The church at Corinth was a deeply troubled church. Paul wrote more to them than to any other church because they had more issues. In many ways, you could describe them as the “anti-church.” Before we begi...

August 30th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald God always has a remnant. Noah and his family stayed faithful to God in a wicked and perverse day. Elijah felt completely alone in the days of Ahab and Jezebel, but God had 7,000 prophets who had not bent the knee. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not bow to an idol. Jesus had twelve men. God always has a remnant. In the final verses of Malachi, God spea...

August 23rd, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald Have you ever seen evil prosper and wondered to yourself, “Where is the justice of God?” That was the question that the nation of Israel was asking in Malachi’s day. It was a complaint against the Lord. The nation of Israel, the people of God, were struggling while the pagan nations around them seemed to be prospering. God will answer their complaint with a c...

August 16th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald The health of your marriage affects the health of your relationship with Christ (1 Peter 3:7). What you do in your house affects what you do in God’s house. There are few areas more important to the heart of God than the health of the marriages among His people. God ordained marriage. It is central to our gospel mission. In fact, according to Paul in Ephesian...

August 9th, 2026 Pastor Chad McDonald God laid the heavy burden of a strong prophecy and warning on the shoulders of His messenger, Malachi. But what motivated God to lay such a burden on Malachi? What was behind this strong warning and harsh words? It was not God’s wrath nor was it that God was merely annoyed. The motivation behind it all was God’s covenantal loyal love for His people. God made a...

Few areas of our health are more dangerous than issues related to our heart. The heart sustains life, and yet it is possible to have a real heart problem with no obvious external symptoms. You may look and feel healthy, but something could be wrong internally that is life threatening. In a similar way, the prophet Malachi dealt with issues of the heart. The nation was no longer dealing with blatan...
