Covenant people seek people out. And they seek people out that they might bless and honor. Are we that type of people today who would risk our reputation? We look at the Holocaust and wonder how on earth that happened. It happened because people turned over the Jews for fear that if they didn’t, they would lose their land, their possessions. Covenant people sense an obligation to the third party. Covenant people are conscious that their obedience to Jesus benefits a third party. There is a sense of stewardship when you understand that. Ministry is a privilege. When we serve, we are not doing God a favor. When we serve, it is God who is doing us a favor by letting us do something in His name.
