Saul of Tarsus was angry at the Church. He thought he was doing God’s will by putting Christians to death. He was blinded to the truth but Jesus didn’t leave him in the dark. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Doubt is the antithesis of faith. Even the disciples struggled with doubts. Thomas didn’t believe that the Lord had risen. Good or bad, positive or negative, building up or tearing down, the thoughts we choose to dwell on will affect our reasoning, our attitudes, our actions, our reactions, and ultimately control our lives.

We all face temptation. It comes in various forms. What is the source of temptation? How do we resist temptations when they come? God has promised to help us stand in the face of temptation. The life of a Christian should be lived by a different set of standards than the world. No longer can we be slaves to sin, but servants of Christ, living a life of virtue, a life of moral excellence.
