Today, Pastor Dave will be sharing part two of the series CHRISTmas based upon Isaiah 9:6, in a teaching entitled Jesus, the Mighty God. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6

What does it mean when something is truly wonderful? Does it simply mean that it is likable or pleasant? Today, as Pastor Steve shares part one of the series CHRISTmas, may we stand in awe of the Wonderful Counselor, Jesus our Savior and King.

Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves. What does that look like in your day to day life? Who is your neighbor? Are we willing to demonstrate a love that lays its life down for others?

Christ calls us to love others as we love ourselves, but what does that even mean? Before we can love others, we have to have a proper view of what love looks like and how we are to relate to others in light of our new life in Jesus! Jesus calls us to love God with everything-heart, soul, mind, and strength! It's all of us in totality. We cannot live like a double agent with a torn allegiance. We must be all in!

God is God. We are not. God doesn't exist for our benefit. We exist for His glory. Once we answer the call of Christ, we begin this amazing journey where we daily grow in our knowledge of who God is, and marvel at all He has done. Since He is God, we trust Him, acknowledging His authority by committing all we are and everything we do to Him.

Before we can be on God's mission we must first answer the call to follow Him. When we trust Jesus as our Savior, nothing is ever the same.

There is a very real, spiritual war, going on all around us. As soldiers in God’s army, we must put on the armor of God and stand our grown. Let’s discover the secret of triumphant living in Christ.

We will one day give an account for our lives before God. If today were that day, what convincing evidence would you have to offer God that you lived in honor and service to Him?

There is amazing power in unity. But looking at the church today, are we really unified? Unity can only happen as we submit ourselves to Christ, who is over all. When we are unified in Christ, we can then truly complete the mission God has given us!

God did not wire us to be able to follow Christ in our own strength. We are dependent upon the immeasurable power of God working in and through us to truly experience the fullness of His love and be equipped to share it with others.
