Lake Springs Church

At Church Around the Table, Lake Springs Church and Esperanza Church came together to worship, pray, and eat together in a day of unity and community.

As we conclude our study through the book of Ephesians, Paul gives us a sobering look at the reality of the enemy that we face. We can remain alert and prepared if we put on the armor of God and continually pray for perseverance.

As we continue to study Ephesians, we see further implications of the mutual submission taking place within Christian households. Through these instructions, we can learn to better lead our households as we care for and submit to one another.

Paul gives us a new vision for marriages as we see how we, as believers, are instructed to submit to one another. Marriage is meant to point to the New Creation, when all things are made new and made whole.

As we continue our study through Ephesians, we see Paul give two examples that we can follow. We can follow the self-giving love of Christ or the self-serving love of the world. Which example will we choose to follow?

As we continue our study through Ephesians, we see Paul's instruction to take off the old self to put on the new. If we are in Christ, we have been made a new creation and we are to live into that new identity rather than continuing to live in our old clothes.

In this joint bilingual service with Lake Springs Church and Esperanza Church, we look at unity within the church as we spend time in worship and prayer together.

As we continue our study through Ephesians, we see Paul's prayer for the church. We can use this as a model to pray for ourselves and those around us, to grow in spiritual maturity and to be formed more into the likeness of Christ.

God's wisdom is revealed through the unity that can be found within the church. When formerly separated people come together, God's wisdom is on display. All peoples have been brought into one family under King Jesus.

Regardless of where we come from or who we are, our first allegiance is to the Kingdom of Heaven under the Kingship of Christ.

We were dead in our trespasses and sins, but God, by his mercy, love, and grace, gives us new life in him. The question for us is how will we respond to this gift from God?

As we continue our journey through Ephesians, we see Paul's prayer for the church. As we read Paul's prayer, we should think, 'what does God want to do for me?'

As we come off of Easter Sunday, we look at the identity that has been given to us because of the resurrection. If we are in Jesus, we have been adopted by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. May we live into that identity every day.

This Easter Sunday, we look at the story of the resurrection, along with Jesus' final teachings in the Sermon on the Mount. We see the importance of building our lives on the instruction of Jesus and on the resurrection, rather than building our lives on anything that the world has to offer us.

As we continue our study through the Sermon on the Mount, we see Jesus' teaching on asking, seeking, and knocking. God gives good gifts through his will, even when we don't see the good in the moment.

As we continue our study through the Sermon on the Mount, we see Jesus' teachings on self examination. As followers of Jesus, we are to focus on where we need to grow before we focus on where others need to grow. In this sermon, we are walked through the Examen practice.

As we continue our series through the Sermon on the Mount, we look at Jesus' teachings regarding our treasures and our anxieties. We desire to pursue unhurried, uncluttered lives centered on God’s kingdom, free from anxiety and grounded in the Father’s care.

In this sermon, we look at how we, as believers, are bridges between heaven and earth. It is our job to be ambassadors of the New Creation.

We continue our study through the Sermon on the Mount as we explore Jesus' teaching on reconciliation. We see that Jesus wants changed hearts, not just changed behaviors. We reconcile with others because Jesus has reconciled us to God.

As we continue our journey through our beliefs and values as a church, we look at Jesus' teaching about being salt and light. We see that we, as followers of Jesus, are called to be salt and light to a dark world.

As we continue our journey through our beliefs and values as a church, we begin exploring the Sermon on the Mount and see what a blessed life really looks like.
