The interfaith Food Ministry has been providing food for people in need in Western Nevada County for almost 40 years. The nonprofit estimates that it's helped over 1 million people since it began. Grass Valley's Wolf Creek Community and Connectivity Project was awarded $13,000,000 by the California's Active Transportation Program.

The Critical Evacuation Route and Hazardous Vegetation Removal Program will award grants to local organizations to fund fuels mitigation projects. 

Changes include a green light for two new cannabis dispensaries in the unincorporated county: one in North San Juan and one in Soda Springs. It also allows for special cannabis events like farmers markets and trade conferences at designated community spaces like the North San Juan Community Center.
