Hazardous Tree Removal Along Old Downieville Highway In Nevada City Begins Today 16.12.2024

Approximately 38 large hazard trees will be removed thanks to a partnership between the Nevada County Office of Emergency Services and the Greater Champion Neighborhood Association Firewise Community. The work will continue Monday through Friday from from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until complete.

Penn Valley Man Arrested For Child Sexual Abuse Material 05.12.2024

A 50 year old Penn Valley man was arrested after a search of his home turned up multiple forms of child sexual abuse material. The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is urging anyone who suspects that their child may have been a victim to contact them at (530) 265-1471.
