Community Urged to Act After Murder Conviction Overturned in Humboldt County 10.05.2025

Jake Combs’ murder conviction has been overturned by the California Court of Appeal, reopening painful wounds for the family of 25-year-old Trevor Earley who Combs confessed to killing in January 2022. As a new trial looms, the victim’s family is asking the public to continue submitting letters to the District Attorney’s Office in hopes of reversing the appellate ruling. Lisa Music reports.
