Keane On Things

Back from Thanksgiving in Arizona where I saw all my family. Apologies to them. The drive can be depressing but always happy to arrive no matter which way I'm going.

Recent court case in Wisconsin. A failure on all fronts. Good job country. 

Getting back into standup whether I'm ready or not. Good shows in SD. The time off has been beneficial. 

In this episode I act like I have a clue about being on television as opposed to being on a hit show. Just utter nonsense.

More lunacy. I discuss the regular season of any sport and how it's only one part of the season among many over the course of a year for any team. I also talk about how we need to get different perspective on the concept of "retirement."

30 minutes of nothing. I talk about weekend and Homeboy 5K and talk about watching a comedy show as a civilian for the first time in a long time.

Traveled to see Bonner Paddock Rinn speak and share his story this past week. Powerful. Had a birthday I couldn't avoid. Gotta kick coffee.

My mom has returned to chilly AZ after spending a month with me here in South Orange County. It was amazing to be able to get that time with her. She caught up with a ton of friends and we remain as close as ever. 

Performed in Irvine this past weekend with one of my favorite comics and people, Chad Daniels. He's one of the greats. People in the double bubble were walking away amazed, but some felt it was too political which means it made them think and they don't even know if they agree or disagree, all they remember is that it made them think. I discuss why Football has always resonated with me. A real page turner. 

I discuss recent heatwave, carbon footprint and global warming. None of which I'm an expert on so it goes along with every other episode.

A veritable cornucopia of topics from reunions to paying college athletes. What do they all have in common? They're topics discussed in a way to lure you into a meditative state of boredom and disinterest. I also discuss my upcoming trip to AZ and plans to drive my mom back to OC for a stint.

Helped plan my 30th HS reunion this past week and it was a blast. Had quite an emotion descend in the days after. I think you can tell in my energy in this episode.

Bruce Springsteen has a song with this same title and I expect the same revenue with this this episode. I discuss what 4th of July was, and what it's become. My 30th HS reunion is this week. 

I visited the San Juan Capistrano Mission this past week, in...wait for it...San Juan Capistrano. Hadn't been there in a long time and it was a joy. Such a tasty piece of history. From Native to Spanish to Mexican to American to...? 

I discuss my older brother's special needs origin story and how we're all susceptible to falling under the thumb of the machine.

Clubhouse was the name of a street off Crown Valley near Werve's and Kleppe's. This episode talks for about 10 seconds on Clubhouse and how it's the best of all audio chat rooms. And, the only one. RIP: Clarence Williams
