Local Americana Rock band Buck Wilde stopped into the KCSU studio to perform live songs off of their latest debut, self titled album. The guys discussed the recording process and delved into deeper song meanings with DJ TBD.  

Local musician Cody Schell stopped by the KCSU studio for the Local Lunch Hour with DJ TBD. Schell performed some original songs as well as discuss the struggles and joys of song writing, and the perseverance needed to create music.

Amorphic brought some groovy jams to the KCSU airwaves to with songs like “Rain,” “Valley,” and “Always Be,”during their on air live performance. Their music encompasses a wide range of genres including psychedelia, funk, fusion, and rock.

Local band MountainUs stopped by KCSU to bring us their wonderful fusion of reggae, modern jazz, and rock. Songs like “Lion and The Wolf,” and “Reggae Smoke,” highlight the groups focus on the power of positivity.

Local band TV135 brought some much needed classic rock to the KCSU studio with live performances of songs off of their latest album, “Prestidigitization.” They talked with DJ TBD about the contemporary themes and meanings behind the songs, such as our virtual dependency and how it affects our daily lives.

  DJ TBD hosts the Orca Welles during the weekly Local Lunch Hour show. With classic rock and surf rock vibes, the band puts on an energetic performance and also discuss their formation and future plans as a group that is often separated by many states.

Denver based music producer and rapper, CURTA performs tracks off his latest EP, “End of Future Park,” the day of its release, live on-air in the KCSU studio. CURTA and DJ TBD discuss the creation, concept, and sound of the EP after grooving out to the artist’s avant garde sound.

Members of The Nadas stopped into the KCSU station for a quick interview with DJ TBD. They discussed their continuously growing and evolving creation process over the course of 25 years as a band.    

KCSU General Manager, Hannah Copeland, hosted an in-studio session with the Colorado band, Bandits. The hard rock vibes are reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White, yet are completely the band’s own specific sound that they expertly made their own.

DJ TBD was lucky enough to host a live session and interview with singer-songwriter Trevor Hall during his stop in Colorado for his Fruitful Darkness tour.
