Jülide’s Playroom

Society EN ↓ 5 episodes

In this room, we play and set the game together. By placing a non-human subject between my guests and me, I explore relationality and subjectivity through our conversations. Inspired by posthuman philosophy, we work together to trace a Posthuman Cartography of Beings. This is a space to discover how we engage with human and non-human beings, as well as the currents and connections of everyday life. My aim is to create a flow and a leakage within the existing order; thinking, feeling, and playing together through the connections that bind us.

Dark Futures with Nick Dunn 04.06.2026

In this episode of Books and Pulsations, I speak with urban designer, professor and author Nick Dunn about his book Dark Futures: When the Lights Go Down. Together we explore what darkness means beyond fear and absence, touching on gendered experiences of the night, ecological thinking, imagination, and how we might re-inhabit the nocturnal world differently. Rather than treating darkness as somet...

Site-Reliant Immersive Experiences with Liana Psarologaki 28.04.2026

In this episode of Books and Pulsations , I speak with Liana Psarologaki about her book Site-Reliant Immersive Experiences, her artistic work, and her interdisciplinary research across immersion, architecture, and art. Reading her book was an immersive experience in itself, and in this conversation we reflect on how sites, atmospheres, and spatial relations shape the way we sense and think.

The Museum of Innocence with Irem Sezer 11.02.2026

In this episode, I embark on a journey through the blurred lines of fiction and reality. Joined by art professional and curator Irem Sezer , we explore the cabinets of Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence in Istanbul. Is a museum merely a collection of objects, or is it a living, breathing cartography of human (and non-human) relationality? We dive deep into the heart of Kemal’s obsession, questionin...

Beyond Survival: The Revival of the Feminine Subject in Feminine Writing 02.02.2026

Deconstructing maternal narratives and the search for the feminine 'I.' "When did you become his?" With this haunting question from Vigdis Hjorth's Is Mother Dead? , I begin an archaeological excavation into the structures that have long buried the feminine "I." This episode is a journey beneath the surface of silence, seeking the authentic self hidden within the ma...

Feminism is Not Humanism - Hi, Welcome to my playroom 18.01.2026

In this opening episode, I invite you to set the game together with me. Starting from the question “Feminism is not humanism,” I reflect on posthuman feminist philosophy, inspired by Rosi Braidotti, to rethink what it means to be human, a subject, and a being among others. This is not an academic lecture, but an invitation to play. The game we set here does not aim to attack the existing world ord...
