Another of those "one finger" improvisations I recorded on tape cassette playing on my one of my son's keyboards. NB only possible using auto rhythms/bass.

Not my usual fare, but was at a loose end and this sort of eased out. Don't honestly know why - apart from the obvious and having been dragged around doing Xmas shopping. Anyway, it is what it is, I think the church bell sound effects from pixabay may just be a little sombre, But they do produce a great contrast - if you listen far enough into the track, LOL

The reason for recreating this song was to produce a version using v5. The original song was based on version sung by myself and backed with a solo ukulele; so not only my lyrics but the main melodies for all sections of the song were my original creation. I wrote this poem, just after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. It has since been used as the basis for a track uploaded to Soundcloud. In view of Hurricane Melissa's passage over Jamaica, I have posted here an alternative track of the same poem with darker passages to reflect it's increased potency. My apologies to my friends, but this is another instrumental cover of one of my early songs. Lyrics (of the original song) and main musical theme are my own work. This is purely for me - I love instrumental guitar music and growing up and getting my first guitars in the early sixties has left their mark on me. But I hope you may like it as much as I do.
