As a Prelude to Pentecost there was some business to take care of or things that needed to happen. A study of the events prior to the day of Pentecost and every outpouring of the Holy Spirit since reveal what precedes the main event. It seems there are some common denominators. Prelude is what precedes the main event. Jesus told the disciples to "wait" in Jerusalem until they had received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is first and foremost about receiving power to share our testimony of salvation that others may know Him. Preaching Pentecost is foundational to the establishment of a New Testament Church. When preachers fail in their responsibility to preach Pentecost the believers will cease to experience it. Prayer is essential to Preparation for Pentecost because it prepares our hearts to receive from God. It is exciting when believers agree together to pray and believe the Lord for an outpouring of His Spirit. The possibilities are staggering! Thanks for listening and please share with your friends.

Easter is over – now what? The story doesn’t end with an empty tomb. Jesus told his disciples there was more. The next major event on the Christian Calendar is Pentecost. Let’s talk about it.

“Come, Follow Me” and with those three words Jesus broke camp and vanished out of their sight. So what did the disciples do with that? What does it mean to follow Jesus? John 14:12-14 provides insight. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” A follower of Jesus will do what Jesus...

Oh the intimacies and the memories the disciples made with Jesus! Camping by the Sea of Galilee with Jesus! Awesome! When was the last time you had one of those experiences with Jesus? “Salvation is free” someone said. Really? While it is true you cannot earn salvation the fact remains it cost Jesus everything. Free to you, yes, cheap? No. “Cheap grace” preaching leaves off the “Follow Me” words of Jesus. You need the help of the Holy Spirit to know Jesus. “You must be born again” He said. Jesus is the risen Lord! Can you imagine what He looks like today? You might be surprised to learn that many of the attempts at portraying the risen Lord are inaccurate. Thanks for listening and please share with your friends.

Jesus has risen! He appears and disappears at will. He appears to two disciples on their way to Emmaus but like Mary they did not recognize him. His appearance changed after his resurrection. Prior to His ascension He made appearances but only to those of his choosing. Today He wants to reveal Himself to everyone. I can help. May I introduce you to Jesus today?

Should Jesus appear to you today it is just possible you might not recognize Him. He will know you. The risen Lord is an awesome thing to see! How would you react?

The King is Coming! The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of King Jesus (Revelation 11:15). He came as the Lamb the first time but His second coming will be as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is a window of opportunity open for you but it is closing fast. Did you know that even unbelievers called Jesus King? Pilate had a sign made and placed on the cross above the head of Jesus which read, "King of the Jews" to which the Jewish leaders objected but to no avail. We may need to rethink our view of Jesus at this season. While it is true He came the first time to redeem us from our sins through his death on the cross, the scriptures reveal a much different picture of His Second Coming. The next time this world sees him it will be as King!

Citizenship in the Kingdom provides protection and assistance against the attacks of the enemy. Believers have been given authority and power over the enemy but they must exercise that authority and demonstrate they know their rights. Thanks for listening and please share with a friend.
