Some say the church is no longer relevant. Perhaps the reason could be linked to the fact that Christians are not recognizable. They do not resemble those from the Book of Acts who "turned the world upside down" rather have blended into the culture formed by the world apart from God.

Summary: Something is definitely needed. Grin and bear it won’t get it. Embrace Pentecost. Disciples of Christ, Pilgrims, must be filled with the Spirit and follow Christ with joy.

Something is missing. Maybe we need to rediscover our roots. Let's go back to square one - the Book of Acts and see what the first NT Church looked like.

We all need a fresh Pentecost. Jesus said “Follow me” and he provided the power to do it ("Be filled with the Spirit" Ephesians 5:18). Lord, give us a few good men and women like Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Pilgrims discipleship is not optional. It is a basic requirement for followers of Christ.

Jesus and the prophets foretold the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that occurred on the Day of Pentecost. Their words indicate it was to be an experience not a debate. While it is important to study the Word there comes a point where we have to let go and let God. Thanks for listening and sharing.
