Jesus Time!

Last podcast of the Minutes with the Messiah series and season four! It is very common to find ourselves drowning in stress, activity, good or bad busyness. But God is King over those floodwaters! Tune in as I unpack Psalm 29:10–11 that reveal our powerful and loving God in the midst of any floodwaters.

In our Minutes with the Messiah series, we continue looking at what Jesus shows us in our times with Him! We don’t always have to have something weighing on our hearts, or pouring our hearts to receive from Jesus. It is so sweet to spend time with God as He reveals Himself to us. Tune in!

“God, what is taking so long!?!” Trusting God‘s pace is a very faith stretching exercise in our lives. Ironically, it is when we trust His ways, and His heart that trusting His pace feels most difficult. Not surprisingly, we can see God‘s loving pace throughout the pages of scripture. Trusting God‘s heart can be very scary and difficult! However, the more we see His heart revealed through the Scriptures and His intervention in our lives, the easier it is to trust His heart as a tenderhearted and good Father. Tune in to take a peek at God‘s heart for you!

Trusting in God‘s ways is not always easy. Whether you’ve been a Christian for five minutes or 50 years, there will always be things that He says and does that we don’t understand. But we cannot allow that to keep us from trusting God’s ways. Tune in to hear how God’s truths help us do just that!

When we are impatient, we are discontent and frustrated in the waiting. When we fast impatience, we are choosing to take our eyes off of what we want in the moment, and look at Jesus, trusting His heart. Tune in!!

What?!!! None of us would ever consider mocking Jesus, so what does it look to fast mocking Jesus? When we embrace shame instead of His forgiveness, that is exactly what we do! Please tune in to hear how fasting this quality can truly free us from deep feelings of shame. In doing so, we will decrease and He will increase.

Shame and isolation go hand-in-hand. One feeds the other, and neither is Christ centered. Tune in to hear how we can courageously fast shame and isolation to experience freedom and genuine love.

In our zeal to do what is right and do what is excellent, we can set ourselves up for crippling regret. Fasting regret is to fast self punishment and receive grace. Tune in to hear how we can change our thinking from regret to gratitude so that we can decrease and Christ can increase.

As we enter the holiday season, we are tempted to do more and more. There are times when that is appropriate; there is also a sweetness in decreasing so He might increase. There are different qualities that we are invited to fast so that we can experience God more fully. Join us today as we fast appearances!

Wrapping up the series on relationships, I thought it best to see how Jesus loves people well! Whether you’re married, dating, or single, you are to be fully present in relationships and love the people in front of you the way Christ loves. Tune in to hear His heart and example!
