Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

We all have a desire for food. But even the most basic of instincts can become deadly when it becomes a consuming desire...gluttony. It's overwhelming to realize that every desire you have could possibly lead to your destruction. But as we'll hear today, it can all be tempered under the authority of Jesus.

We've all heard people wonder, out of frustration...why can't people just let people live the way they want to? But the truth is, even those who say that have an idea about how people should live...the choices they make. Today Pastor Daniel explains the problem with all of us wanting to be little gods...and who can remedy that.

Justice is getting what you deserve, mercy is not getting what you deserve, and grace is getting what you don't deserve. None of us are owed anything but justice, but with Jesus, instead we get grace. Today's message will explain why God is so concerned with life. We are valuable to Him, we are His creation.

Fast internet, fast commutes, fast food...we are a culture of immediacy. But, that's not always God's way. As Pastor Daniel takes us through Noah's story...we'll hear just how patient Noah was for God's timing. We are impatient, but there is blessing in waiting on Him. We can't anticipate the ending, but we can count on Him to be faithful.

Commitments are easy to make, but not always easy to keep...unless we're talking about God. As we hear about how the flood played out, we'll see, in everything...how totally committed God was to Noah and His promises to him. We can count on God's promises to us, and as a reflection of Him, we must keep our commitments as well.

In our culture, as we age, we're expected to eventually turn on the cruise control...as if everything important we've done is finished. As far as God is concerned, He'll use you mightily if you remain obedient to Him. Noah was an older man, but God was able to accomplish everything because His strength is limitless.

Building an ark from specific instructions, for a flood that seemed impossible...only a person devoted to God would say 'yes' to that. But that's what Noah was, obedient. And as Pastor Daniel will teach today, obedience is the highest form of worship to the Father. As we commit to obedience to Him, He is praised.

Before the flood, people had gone their own way. With hearts so far from God, there was nothing left except judgment. That's where pride takes us, and that's why, as we'll hear in today's message, the best place for any believer is in the dust at the foot of the cross. We are all dependent on the grace of God, all the time.

Most of us enjoy relationships with others. Just think about how much time and effort is spent on building relationships with friends, spouses, parents and children... There is a reason for that...in that we're created in God's likeness, and He desires relationship with us! Today, we'll hear what God intends for His Creation.

Throughout the Bible, we see people messing things up. Sin thwarts God's plan, humans making poor choices create a more difficult path. But, as we'll hear in today's message, there is ALWAYS God's provision. Despite the tragic event of Cain killing his brother, God continues to guide humanity towards His perfect truth.

Sin is relentless in its pursuit of you. When our hearts are drawn toward rebellion against God, Satan is rooting us on. In today's teaching, we'll hear how Cain reacted when God warned him about sin. There are only two choices...we can turn away from sin, or we can turn away from God. Destruction...or life.

Consequences are not pleasant, but because of sin, they are justified. Some people have a hard time reconciling that God dispenses judgment....but what god would be worth worshiping if he were completely blasé about what His children did? Today, we'll see the ramifications of human sin...and God's covering in spite of it.

Most of us, at some point in our lives, have made a mistake that resonates long after repentance and forgiveness. Sin has consequences. Today, we'll see what happened after the fall in the garden, and how Adam and Eve's choice impacts us today. In our work, in our relationships...in every facet of our lives.

Discontent, covetousness...these are symptoms that you're suffering from the pride of life...wanting more and never being satisfied is a way of exalting the self. As we hear about Adam and Eve and their destructive desire for more...we'll see the beginning of man's tendency to put Himself first...wanting to be like God.

When Satan told Eve that she could eat of the tree of wisdom and not die...he lied. Death is now a certainty for all of us, and he is still a liar. There are parts of the Word that may not appeal to our sensibilities, but truth is truth. We can't add or take away from the Word in order to suit our own desires...or it's a lie.

When God looked at all He had created, He called it good. But, there was a moment at the beginning where God paused...something wasn't quite right. In today's message, Pastor Daniel will explain how God completed this work...evidence of love and devotion to His creatures...us.

You can jump through any hoops required to achieve success in a given religion...but none offer the free gift of salvation that Jesus does. As we continue through Genesis, Pastor Daniel will take us through this amazing documentation of God breathing life into man, from the dust of the ground..created BY Him, OF Him.

The label “workaholic” can have a negative or positive connotation. If a person is driven by success and money, the term might be flattering. Our culture exalts financial success. But, as Pastor Daniel will show us in Genesis, God wants us to rest...it's so important that He gave us that rest right from the start.

When Jesus declared He is the light of the world, His followers became a reflection of that light. As Pastor Daniel takes us through Genesis, we'll see how God's Creation of the sun and moon is a gorgeous representation of that truth. As His light reflects off of us, people will see...no matter where they are.

When God finished creating the earth and everything on it, He declared it GOOD. We are all a part of that creation, and He meant you! Be encouraged today, as we consider God's creation, that He is delighting in your life...in what He is accomplishing in you and through you. He has a lot invested in us..a lot of Love.

If you breeze quickly through the very first words of the Bible, in Genesis...the message seems pretty simple and straightforward. But, there's so much more to be gleaned about who God is. Today, we'll dig deeper into what the Creation of everything means for us, as we consider who we are in light of Him.

When we're struggling beneath the weight of responsibilities, grief, and hardships that happen in life...it becomes evident how strong our faith really is. When we freak out, we're forgetting that God has secured our future for all of eternity. Today, we'll be encouraged to remember that He can handle our todays.

One of the biggest spiritual downfalls we face in contemporary society is that we're too confident. We have confidence that tomorrow we'll eat, we'll sleep in a bed...we'll breathe. Existing isn't a battle for us. But, when it comes to spiritual battles, over-confidence will take us out. Today we find out how God wins that war for us..if we take His side.

You wouldn't run headlong into a battle with nothing but a bathrobe and some flip-flops, but that's essentially what you're doing when you try to defend your faith without prayer and the armor of God. It's easy to say you'll stand up for Jesus, but when you're really under fire, it's hard. Today, you'll see how to get a full-body kevlar spiritual suit of armor.

Perhaps you are blessed to have a job that you love...one that doesn't feel like work. Chances are, even if you're happy where you are now...you were once employed in a place where you weren't. Today's teaching offers a refreshing perspective on our work lives, one that defers to the Lord and fulfilling His purpose for our work.
