Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

Can you worship God while being crabby at the same time? The two things don’t really go together, do they? As you’ll hear today, getting into the groove of worship goes beyond praising the Father…it deepens your faith and understanding of who God is. As Pastor Daniel explains today, worship can lead to a more effortless prayer life, where you’re seeking God, directly and eagerly.

Long-suffering is not a condition that anyone would hope for, but sometimes the Father asks us to be patient. God was willing to be patient with His people during long periods of rebellion…watching the people He loved ignore and reject Him. Not many of us are good at being longsuffering, but today Pastor Daniel will help us to understand how it’s possible.

Apart from Jesus, all the goodness we strive for is undone by our flesh. But, as Pastor Daniel teaches today, when we have relationship with Him, His grace makes goodness possible. He is the only one who promises us life. Without Him…you are lost. While Moses was away, Aaron feared the people…and in doing so allowed them to fall away from God. Consider who has the true authority.

Over the course of a lifetime, many bad decisions, unintended transgressions and acts of outright rebellion can pile up. But as Pastor Daniel teaches today, God’s promises remain. If you remain focused on the problems and sin…you’ll have a harder time changing direction. But, if you instead remember God’s merciful character, His promises to the faithful will strengthen you.

That’s how God, frustrated and angry, described His people when they made a golden calf to worship while Moses was away. We, as humans, are not great at being grateful. God knows our hearts, and is gracious. As we’ll find, this functioned to remind the people that they were at peace with Him. Jesus is our peace. As the bread of life, we see that this symbol was pointing to Him, all along.

When God was instructing His people about how to construct the furniture for the tabernacle, they couldn’t have known what every detail meant. As Pastor Daniel will tell us today, each object is specific in its purpose, which is to point to the Savior, Jesus. We can’t always know what God’s plans are as we go through life, but we can be sure that he will be faithful to us.
