Jessi Morgan Devotions for the Christian Heart Podcast
Jessi Morgan in 2023 had a traumatic experience that shaped how she views life and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God has laid it on her heart to share her experiences and inspire others to put God first in every aspect of their life like she finally did in hers. Having her daughter born 4 months early really made Jessi lean on the Lord for comfort and guidance. And today she stands here starting her own 10-15 minute podcast focusing on weekly devotionals about what God can do for you and what He's done for her.

The Difference between Loyalty and Blind Allegiance 25.06.2026 9:20
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… The Friendship Series is here! “Loyalty” is one of those words that can sound holy while doing real damage. When someone demands you prove loyalty by staying quiet, picking sides, or ignoring what’s wrong, that’s not Christian friendship, it’s blind allegiance. I’m Jessi Morgan, and I’m digging into a hard but freeing question: can you be lo...
Shared Goals: Caleb & Joshua 18.06.2026 17:19
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Some friendships fade not because anyone did something “wrong,” but because life starts asking different things of each person. If you have ever wondered why a friendship felt effortless in one season and strained in another, we get honest about what changes and what can still hold. We talk about shared goals as the quiet foundation of lastin...
Transformation Is Not Comfortable 11.06.2026 15:25
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Transformation sounds inspiring until you’re living it. I thought May would be a month of breakthrough, but it turned into a collision of IRS stress, a major job restructuring, and the kind of parenting decisions that keep you up at night. I’m sharing what it feels like when stability disappears overnight, projects you love get taken away, an...
Jealousy And The Scroll - REPLAY 21.05.2026 9:05
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Jealousy doesn’t always show up as loud anger. Sometimes it’s a quiet, constant itch that keeps you scrolling, judging, and comparing your real life to someone else’s highlight reel. I’m Jessi Morgan, a home decor blogger who’s sharing more of my personal life and my love for the Lord, and I’m getting very real about a season when I followed...
What are you counting? Numbers or Worry 14.05.2026 14:01
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the thing you keep counting is the very thing stealing your peace? This week’s devotional lands on one of the most sobering moments in David’s life: the census in 2 Samuel 24 and what it reveals about fear, pride, and the need to feel in control. When I revisited this Scripture, it hit me in a fresh way, because the struggle isn’t anc...
You have Strength & God sends Warriors 07.05.2026 17:41
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… David is back on the throne and the rebellions are over but something surprising happens in 2 Samuel 21: the warrior-king gets exhausted. That single line stopped me, because it tells the truth we often hide. Even faithful people get tired. Even strong people hit a moment where they cannot keep swinging the sword, and that is exactly where Go...
Figuring it out through the chaos with God 23.04.2026 16:01
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Chaos has a way of showing up in waves. You survive the big blow up, you catch your breath, and then another problem slides in like it never got the memo that you’re exhausted. That’s where we are in the life of David as we move through 2 Samuel 20 and 21: Absalom’s rebellion is over, David is back on the throne, and yet the kingdom is still...
You Can Be Loved...and Still Be the Disappointment 09.04.2026 19:41
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Love can stay even when trust breaks, and that truth can feel both comforting and unsettling. We’re walking through 2 Samuel 18–19, where David faces the unthinkable: his son Absalom turns on him, a civil war splits Israel, and the fight to preserve the kingdom ends with a loss that crushes David’s heart. The line that won’t let go is David’s...
When Everything Falls Apart 02.04.2026 16:56
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Everything can look fine on the outside while your world is collapsing on the inside, relationships shift, plans fail, and you feel like you’re just trying to stay afloat. I’m opening 2 Samuel 15 through 17 and sitting in the heaviest part of David’s story, when his own son Absalom turns on him and David has to flee Jerusalem. This isn’t Davi...
It Looked Fixed...But It Wasn't Healed 26.03.2026 15:30
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Some relationships don’t break with a bang. They break with silence, polite distance, and the quiet agreement to “move on” without ever telling the truth. That’s the ache behind 2 Samuel 14 and 15, where David lets Absalom return home, yet keeps him from his presence. Everything looks settled from the outside, but nothing is healed underneath...
Drafts We Shouldn’t Send 12.03.2026 16:00
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Some messages feel good to write and dangerous to send. Today we’re sitting in one of the hardest chapters in the life of David: 2 Samuel 13, where lust pretends to be love, leadership goes silent, and revenge waits patiently for the right moment. It’s heavy Scripture, but it’s also a clear warning about what happens when sin is hidden, excus...
When God Says No to Your Prayer 05.03.2026 16:03
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the prayer you want most answered yes is the very one God uses to teach you wisdom when the answer is no? We open with a raw story from a high school track season: a late-night choice, a rain-soaked regional, a narrow win, and then a state final where adrenaline met exhaustion and a heartfelt plea went unanswered. That personal twist...
The Ripple Effect of Sin 26.02.2026 13:32
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… A king stays home, a glance becomes a secret, and a secret explodes into heartbreak. We walk through 2 Samuel 11 with clear eyes, tracing how David’s small drift sets off a chain of temptation, adultery, deception, and murder. Along the way, we slow down on Bathsheba’s story and honor the reality of power, vulnerability, and the collateral da...
Assumptions Create Wars 19.02.2026 10:06
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… A simple act of kindness gets misread, and a war erupts. We open 2 Samuel 10 and watch David extend honor to Hanan, only for fear and bad counsel to twist his motives and humiliate his envoys. From there, we connect the ancient narrative to the everyday moments where our own assumptions ignite conflict in group chats, hallways, family tables...
Kindness That God Remembers 12.02.2026 12:36
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Power reveals character, but kindness reveals covenant. We continue our study of David at a pivotal moment in 2 Samuel 8–9, when the shepherd-king finally stands secure and chooses mercy over vengeance. Rather than closing ranks, David asks if anyone remains from Saul’s house to bless for Jonathan’s sake, an act that restores Mephibosheth’s i...
Good Intentions can be a Mistake 29.01.2026 13:58
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the right goal done the wrong way keeps stealing your joy? We unpack a gentle but firm truth: good intentions don’t replace a faithful process. Through a relatable home story and a timeless moment from 2 Samuel 6–7, we explore how rushing, skipping counsel, or copying what seems to “work” can derail even the holiest desires and how al...
Establishing your Fortress 22.01.2026 12:36
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Some walls look unbreakable until God walks through them. We journey from the stark integrity of 2 Samuel 4 to the stunning capture of Jerusalem in 2 Samuel 5, then bring it home literally through a vulnerable story about renovation setbacks, insurance woes, and the moment a beloved house revealed it could never be our fortress. It’s a candid...
Visible Integrity In A Broken World 15.01.2026 12:40
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… A kingdom on edge, a leader under pressure, and a moment where integrity costs something real. We walk through 2 Samuel 2–3 and the turning point that follows Abner’s murder, not as a distant saga but as a mirror for our choices today. David could have kept quiet and benefited. Instead, he mourned publicly, fasted, condemned the act, and made...
All you had to do was tell the truth 08.01.2026 18:04
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… Continuing our story of David. A single lie, told at the worst possible moment, can change everything. We open the new year by returning to David’s story at a pivotal scene: Saul has fallen, grief hangs in the air, and an Amalekite arrives with a crown and a tale he thinks will earn him favor. David’s response is swift and sobering, not becau...
The Greatest Gift 25.12.2025 7:24
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… The tree is lit, the gifts are wrapped, and yet the quiet question remains: what makes this day truly shine? We gather around Day 25 of our Christmas devotional and focus our hearts on the greatest gift, Jesus, whose birth brings a hope that never expires and a peace we can’t manufacture. Instead of rushing through the morning, we pause to sa...
The Why Behind Christmas - Day 24 24.12.2025 4:42
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the heart of Christmas is not nostalgia but rescue? On the day before Christmas, we pause the rush and sit with John 3:16–17 to ask a deeper question: why did God choose this moment, and why arrive in such a humble way? We walk through Bethlehem with Mary and Joseph, then trace four simple words that carry the weight of the gospel: lo...
What in the Spice? - Day 23 23.12.2025 7:48
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… A star rises over Bethlehem, scholars cross deserts, and three gifts speak louder than words. We trace the Magi’s path in Matthew 2:1–12 and discover how God leads people through the passions they already hold—then layers those passions with meaning, worship, and mission. I share a simple kitchen story about moving from salt-and-pepper meals...
Sense of Urgency for Jesus - Day 22 22.12.2025 5:23
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… A midnight sky splits with angelic news, and ordinary shepherds make an extraordinary choice: they hurry. We trace that swift move from field to manger and ask what it means for our faith today, how urgency, obedience, and simple testimony can turn Christmas from sentiment into mission. We start with Luke 2:15–20, reading the moment the sheph...
Are you in VIP? - Day 21 22.12.2025 5:55
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the first people to hear the greatest news in history weren’t the powerful or the polished, but night-shift laborers with calloused hands and dusty clothes? We step into Luke 2:8–14 and discover why heaven’s choir appeared to shepherds first, and how that choice overturns our assumptions about worth, access, and belonging. No velvet r...
Government, Census & The Birth - Day 20 20.12.2025 7:27
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement… What if the most ordinary directive in your life is the doorway to God’s perfect timing? We open Luke 2:1–7 and watch a census from Caesar Augustus reroute Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, landing them in the exact place Micah promised the Messiah would be born. We explore the unity of Scripture by placing this quiet moment beside another censu...
