Jasmine's Podcast

I was raised in the late 70s and early 80s, which means I saw many adventure and fantasy films. From Indiana Jones to those featuring Doug McClure in leading roles. This film brought back memories of the best from that time. It was enjoyable to watch, featuring occasional jump scares and a hint of horror, but not excessive gore. I also appreciated the modern elements; the family wasn't just a perf...

Tom Holland's portrayal of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is an amazing new chapter. All of the elements that make Spider-Man so entertaining—great action, humor, heart, and a deep emotional core—are retained yet the film manages to seem new.   The more intimate and grounded approach to Peter's story is what I most enjoyed. As Spider-Man, Tom Holland delivers one of his best performance...

I entered Spider Man Brand New Day flixtor with the expectation of enjoying another entertaining MCU film, but I emerged feeling as though I had just experienced one of the greatest Spider-Man movies ever created. At last, it seems that Peter Parker has truly earned the title of Spider-Man. He finds himself isolated, with no one recalling his identity after the events of No Way Home, and you can s...

Beneath the layers of tragedy and exile lies a beauty that defines Christopher Nolan's filmography, culminating in The Odyssey. This film presents a uniquely Nolan perspective on the essence of a hero, acting as both a tribute to legacy and a homage to years of war epics, while also addressing the uncertainties of a constantly evolving society. https://flixtor.info/the-odyssey-2026/ The narrative...

The ancient Greek epic "Odyssey" by Homer served as the inspiration for THE ODYSSEY. The narrative is excellent and tackles a number of universal issues. The script by Christopher Nolan is compelling. Despite spanning many timeframes, the film is expertly composed on paper. A few one-liners will result in applause, and the conversation is powerful. However, the usage of contemporary terms like "Da...

Jackass: Best and Last 2026 marks the fifth and final installment in the Jackass series, directed by Jeff Tremaine. This film showcases the Jackass crew as they embark on their ultimate series of perilous stunts and outrageous pranks, bringing the franchise to a thrilling conclusion. As a devoted fan of Jackass, especially after binge-watching the television series and previous films leading up to...

The movie does not promote anti-migrant sentiments. It is not a piece of propaganda. Instead, it reflects the deep-seated pain of individuals who have suffered injustices. These are the victims of crimes who have never received justice. If you search for any event shown in the film, you will find that it has occurred in the real world at some point. Therefore, the message of the film should be to...

To start, it was fantastic to witness Renny Harlin return to crafting a fun, mindless movie that you can relish without overthinking. The plot is straightforward, and the setup is executed in a manner that clearly indicates what to expect. The performances from the ensemble cast, including Aaron Eckhart, Molly Belle Wright, Angus Sampson, and Ben Kingsley, are impressive, to say the least. Some ge...

Meticulously crafted, Tuner offers a unique cinematic journey that is as much about sound as it is about visuals. At its heart, the film presents a gripping, human narrative that grounds its technical aspirations, ensuring the story never feels like just a framework for its visual splendor. The pacing is expertly managed; it allows for moments to breathe, letting the tension build gradually before...

From the very first episode, you’ll find it impossible to look away. Your mind will be racing with questions about how or why events unfolded. It’s a true mental workout that keeps you pondering everything and everyone involved. Every one of the 8 episodes is packed with unexpected twists, so make sure to set aside a night for this binge-watch. Once you dive in, sleep will be the last thing on you...

This episode marked a remarkable return, no doubt about it. Yet, I resonate with the online feedback concerning the writing and dialogue; it certainly requires some refinement. The exchanges felt somewhat vacant, and I thought the characters could use more substance. And that odd kiss scene between Aemond and Alicent? Let's not even go there—LOL. The pacing was fairly good, but a few scenes felt a...

House of the Dragon has reminded us why it’s so difficult to part ways with George R. R. Martin's captivating universe. The tale of the Targaryens revolves around politics, bloodshed, and dragons, all serving a deeper narrative: a family self-destructing in the pursuit of power. Both seasons meticulously construct this tragic downfall with impressive patience and insight. In the first season, Matt...

So far, only three episodes have been released, and this psychological thriller has me completely captivated. The negative feedback from a one-star review highlights the very reasons I rate New Cape Fear a perfect TEN! I find myself hanging on every word of dialogue, determined not to miss a single moment. The family dynamics are a psychologist's paradise, especially with the parents exhibiting cl...

Over the years, I've watched a lot of real crime documentaries, but this one caught me off guard.    It's difficult to imagine how psychotic someone must be to control everyone and everything around her to the point where she becomes more credible than those who can expose her deceit. Then psychotic enough to kill someone to kidnap her child, and so naive enough to believe she would get away with...

In their first two exchanges, Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser play the roles of captain and pre-presidential general, respectively. Their tiny, thoughtful man and large, boisterous guy routine is defined in strong black ink and tells you everything you need to know about the movie. Alongside Chris Messina as rival American meteorologist Irving P. Krick and Kerry Condon as Eisenhower's dependable r...

The new Dutton Ranch series has an oddly captivating quality right from the start. It evokes the same rugged charm that propelled Yellowstone to fame, yet it carries a more personal and contemplative vibe. The expansive ranch vistas, crackling fires, profound silences, and simmering tension all meld together to form a realm that is both unforgiving and profoundly soothing at once. What truly disti...

I was completely astonished by this film. Normally, I don't watch sci-fi much... it's just not my thing! However, this film completely transformed my view of the genre. Stephen Spielberg has masterfully crafted the high-tension scenes and action sequences that had the audience gripping their seats and holding their breath... at least, that's what everyone in the packed theater was doing! Emily Blu...

From the very beginning of the show on October 13, 2023, right up to the finale, this narrative kept me captivated with joy, unexpected twists, and numerous "aww!" moments. The quality consistently improved, starting from the pilot episode and culminating in a breathtaking conclusion. Witnessing the tale that Gooseworx crafted and brought to life was truly rewarding after all the anticipation lead...

As a long-time admirer of Kane Parsons' short films since their debut, and having followed both Found Footage and Async's journey, I must say Backrooms Flixtor film was nothing short of amazing! The narrative was exceptionally crafted; Kane succeeded in developing characters whose arcs seamlessly fit into the endless and perilous maze that is the Backrooms. Clark's obsession, which drove him to a...

The performances of most characters were decent, yet what truly captivated me was the storyline. It presents a unique narrative that differs from what I'm accustomed to, and I'm thrilled to have discovered this film. By the midpoint, I had a hunch about the identity of the murderer, albeit for a rather simplistic reason. I assumed it was merely a man in search of a more compelling tale, but the pl...

Surprisingly better than I anticipated, as it delves deeper into serious storytelling compared to the comedy-driven trailer. I really enjoyed the exploration of humanity, whether from the perspective of humans or the sheep. The Agatha Christie enthusiast within me was completely engaged in attempting to figure out the mystery. I understand why Rotten Tomatoes Top Critics awarded it such a high rat...

Patience is obviously required when watching this film. It is a slow burn and spends a lot of time in the second half using the never-ending hallways as a metaphor for pain and loneliness. That segment can bore you if all you want is a simple monster movie.   Additionally, the characters continue to make some of those iconic, annoying choices from horror films that will make you want to scream at...

Set against the backdrop far removed from the gleaming surfaces of the Jedi and the Empire, this story unfolds in murky swamps, navigating the social divides, and exploring the ambiguous territory between good and evil. It is enriched by the enchanting presence of little Grogu and brimming with stunning prosthetics, visual effects, and, naturally, the beloved practical effects that have captured o...

Jack Ryan: Ghost War by Tom Clancy reads like an espionage thriller created by folks who don't believe in visual storytelling.  https://flixtor.info/tom-clancys-jack-ryan-ghost-war-2026/ Rather than allowing the spectator to feel it, the movie continuously explains itself. Character motivations, emotions, and internal problems that should have been gradually exposed through action, tension, and be...

An intriguing yet simple concept. What if you could make your secret crush reciprocate your feelings? The actress portraying Nikki (Inde Navarrette) truly immerses herself in the role. The film relies heavily on her performance, and she delivers. I understand this is a horror film that demands a significant suspension of disbelief, but much of the male character's actions pushed the limits of what...
