Thomas Seymour adjusts to life after Katherine's death, Elizabeth's reputation is in jeopardy, and Edward is the target of a kidnapping. 

England invades Scotland again, Princess Elizabeth fends off a creepy suitor, and girlboss Katherine Parr finally has it all.

Katherine Parr marries for the fourth time, Prince Edward becomes King Edward VI, and the Duke of Somerset assumes control of the new king.

After Henry's death, nine year old Prince Edward is proclaimed King of England, and a battle royale erupts over Henry's will.

Winter, 1547: Henry faces death, Surrey's hubris does him in, Edward Seymour stages a power grab, and Bishop Gardiner tries to hang with the in crowd.

A plot against Katherine surfaces, Anne Askew is arrested for heresy, and Henry celebrates his last Christmas.

Katherine's book is published, Henry is getting sicker, and smarty-pants Elizabeth translates lots of stuff.

Katherine is in charge when Henry goes to war in France; meanwhile, the Duke of Norfolk blunders, and Chapuys finally goes home. NOTE: As usual, my mangling of the French language is on full display in this episode -   Montreuil is pronounced "maan-troy." Apologies to my French listeners.

The kids get a new stepmother when Henry marries his final wife, Katherine Parr; Mary and Elizabeth are reinstated in the line of succession, and the bromance between Henry and Charles V is back on.

After surviving two husbands and being taken hostage in a religious uprising, Katherine Parr steps out of the shadows and into the royal spotlight.

England and Scotland go to war, Henry makes merry, Cranmer is charged with heresy, and Elizabeth takes a stand.
