It‘s This Meets That

Do you know what a "mockbuster" is? Neither did Jared until Russ explained it to him in this episode of Trailer Trash, where the guys are talking about Get the Girl (2009)--not to be confused with Get the Girl (2017), which they did NOT watch... yet. This is a jam-packed episode talking about the lack of trailer, more low-budget movie money laundering schemes, bartering, and not enough about Jared...

Russ and Jared are back with part 2 of Alien Warfare (2019)! When we left the guys, they were almost about to finally see the titular aliens, fully halfway through the movie. Buckle up as our heroes, Clayton Snyder, David B. Meadows, Daniel Washington, Scott C. Roe, and Larissa Andrades, deal with their new alien enemies and maybe even teach us a valuable lesson about love... and space... and life...

This week on It's This Meets That, Russ and Jared are tackling Alien Warfare (2019). What happens when a Navy SEAL team undertakes a top-secret mission to investigate the disappearance of several scientists at a remote research facility? A much less enjoyable movie than you'd think. Find out what Clayton Snyder, David B. Meadows, Daniel Washington, Scott C. Roe, and Larissa Andrade get into in Ali...

Russ and Jared are taking on the trailer for Alien Warfare (2019) this week! Or are they...? There actually isn't a trailer, so the guys are doing some research to see what else they can uncover about this movie before watching. So far they know it's starring Clayton Snyder, David B. Meadows, Daniel Washington, Scott C. Roe, and Larissa Andrade... The fellas will be back with Alien Warfare: Part 1...

Russ and Jared are back for part 2 of Little Italy (2018)! At the end of part 1, Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts were about to have their pizza-making date night. Will the final act of this movie end up being as cheesy as a slice from Sal's It's Better? Like pizza, even the worst romantic comedies are usually still pretty good. FInd out if this one lives up to that standard in this week's epis...

The wait is over! Russ and Jared are diving into Little Italy (2018) this week, a pizza-themed romantic comedy starring Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts. Want to learn more about Hayden Christensen's method for getting into character? Want to know why Russ keeps calling him Christian Haydenson? Is Andrea Martin playing the same character she did in My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Find out the answers...

This week, Russ and Jared are watching the trailer for Little Italy (2018), starring Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts. For having such a star-studded cast, this cheesy romantic comedy is sure to be a huge disappointment. As they say in Little Italy (Canada), when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie... I don't like sand, it's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Russ a...

It's time for Robot Riot part 2! When we left Russ and Jared, General Dix had just explained to us the different types of robots, and we hope the suspense didn't kill you waiting for this episode! Join the guys as they finish Robot Riot (2020), starring Sarah J. Bartholomew and Ryan Merriman. Happy New Year, hope you enjoy!

After last week's trailer, Russ and Jared knew they were in for some trouble. But they couldn't have predicted this movie would give them Jared's new favorite nonsense villain, Jason Leyva's semi-brilliant General Dix. Join the guys as they take on Robot Riot (2020), starring Sarah J. Bartholomew and Ryan Merriman. And stay tuned for Part 2 on Thursday!

This week, Russ and Jared are starting up their new mini episode series called Trailer Trash, where they'll take you through the trailer for the movie they'll be covering the following week. The guys hope you'll enjoy and watch along with them! First up is Robot Riot (2020), the (awesomely named) terrible movie about battling against an army of giant robots and an insane general in some abandoned...

We're back for part 2! At the end of the last episode Russ and Jared were just realizing things were going south for Jessica Biel. She's on the run in the forest, the whole town is trying to find her, everyone's upset, and everything is awful. You're in for a treat with this one. Find out the actual identity of The Tall Man, and what happens to Jessica Biel and Jodelle Ferland!

Just like some of you felt misled when Russ and Jared covered Force of Nature (not Forces of Nature), the guys felt pretty misled when they watched The Tall Man (2012), starring Jessica Biel. Teasing itself as a spooky Slender Man movie, Russ and Jared were in for a ride that couldn't have been further from that. Find out what's in store for our hero, Jessica Biel, in this week's episode. Spoilers...

It's part 2! When Russ and Jared left off, the new app, Jungle, had just been released to wild, immediate (and inexplicable) success. Now it's a race to the bottom as all of the unlikeable characters compete to determine who's the worst. Find out the thrilling conclusion to Swiped (2018), starring Noah Centineo, Kendall Sanders, and Shelby Wulfert!

This movie has good actors in it like Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I've Loved Before), George Hamilton (not Columbo), and Nathan Gamble (The Dark Knight), and still manages to be the worst film Russ and Jared have covered so far. Swiped (2018) is a crime against people who like to enjoy movies. Want to find out what Russ thinks about people who read while they're walking down the street? Join th...

It's time for part 2 of Force of Nature! At the end of our last episode, Russ and Jared had both converted to be rooting for the "villains." Our "heroes" just climbed up some scaffolding and David Zayas killed another perfectly good henchman. Listen in to find out if that comes back to bite him!

Watching Mel Gibson's antics (in movies and in real life) is usually fun, and Force of Nature delivers. Managing to be fast-paced, boring, and mildly offensive all at once, find out how Mel Gibson, David Zayas, Kate Bosworth, and Emile Hirsch deal with a hurricane heist. Join Russ and Jared as they dissect this disaster movie disaster! Enjoy and stay tuned for part 2 on Thursday!

We're back with part 2 of The Humanity Bureau! Russ and Jared left off talking about our gas station hero who (foolishly) sacrificed himself for Nicolas Cage. Will Nic Cage uncover the government plot? Will anyone get to go fishing at the dream lake? Most importantly, will they escape to Canada? Listen in and find out!

This week, Russ and Jared get a Nicolas Cage treat with The Humanity Bureau. In a dystopian future set in 2030 in the Midwest, the world is in a permanent state of economic recession and facing serious environmental problems as a result of global warming (feels an awful lot like 2020). Hope you enjoy, make sure to stay tuned for part 2 on Thursday!

We're back for part 2! Last time, Russ and Jared were just discussing how our heroes, Max and Frank, were finally becoming friends, and the baby panda had gotten himself kidnapped. Tune in to find out how much it costs to lease a panda from the Chinese government (and also what happens in the movie)!

We've got another 2-part episode this week as Russ and Jared switch up the genre for the family comedy (using the term loosely), Show Dogs. Hot off the success of The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, Will Arnett decided to star in another animal movie. In this one he teams up with Ludacris (as a dog) to stop an animal smuggling ring. Enjoy, and stay tuned for part 2 on Thursday!

It's part 2! Russ and Jared are still talking about John Travolta's incredible performance in Speed Kills. At the end of the last episode, we were just being introduced to our would-be villain, Robbie Reemer, at a backyard party. Tune in to find out if Russ and Jared can actually figure out the plot of this movie!

We've got a special 2-part episode this week and part 2 will be coming out on Thursday! Russ and Jared are talking about the award-winning (?!) John Travolta instant classic (?!), Speed Kills, from 2018. Do you like speedboats? Money laundering (possibly in real life)? Then you'll love Speed Kills!

This week, Russ and Jared are talking about the 2019 Bruce Willis/Michael Chiklis vehicle, 10 Minutes Gone. Unable to remember what happened during a bank heist which led to his brother's death, acclaimed TV actor Michael Chiklis suddenly realizes he's in a terrible movie and steals the show with the only decent performance.

Russ and Jared narrowly avoided an evil entity with this one. Haunting on Fraternity Row combines the genres of classic slasher with found footage to disappointing (and hilarious) effect. Find out what happens at this fraternity's last "winter luau" in this week's episode of It's This Meets That.

This week, Russ and Jared talk about The Fanatic, a truly off-the-rails John Travolta experience. An obsessed fan (played by Travolta) stalks his favorite action hero and ruins both their lives in the process.
