Our brave podders are continuing the summer of Swayze with a little movie we like to call Road House.  I've just been told everyone calls it that.  We're entering a world where bouncers are rockstars, things like arson, murder, and monster trucking are never investigated, also pants are optional.  So put your medical files in a binder, bust out your nicest karate shirt, and warm up your throat rip...

Our brave podders jumped into their space ships and zoomed back in time to watch the 1986 classic Flight of The Navigator.  Does bending space and time affect your memory?  Thanks to our astro physics experts, we'll find out.  So polish your spaceship till it shines, bust out your favorite 80's wig, and bring along your mail robot (because it's the 80's).  Compliance!!!!!

Now I've.....had.....the time of my life.  That's right. It's time to get dirty, Dirty Dancing.  Make sure your armpits aren't ticklish, your hula game is on point, and you keep baby out of any literal or metaphorical corners.  Join your hearts and hands and voices and watermelons and get ready for installment two of the Summer of Swayze!!!

Our brave podders are just normal people.  They put their bluejeans on one leg at a time, then they put on a denim shirt, a denim jacket, denim socks, and then they watch Necessary Roughness.  See, just like you.  You know the drill, grab a motley crew of misfits, have a cooky training montage, and then play the big climactic game against some anonymously evil team.  It may sound like pretty well...

As we wait for the singularity, our brave podcasters watch Short Circuit in an attempt to appease our new robot overlords.  Will they succeed or will they get bogged down in robot love triangles, crazy cultural appropriation, and Steve Gutenberg's luscious mullet?  Time to find out, stat!! Outerspace is dumb and for nerds.  That's why our podcasters watched InnerSpace.  You see, InnerSpace is for drunken test pilots, hypochondriac grocery store clerks, and cowboy themed arms dealers.  Astronauts can keep their boring missions to the moon.  We're doing shots, scattering our loose leaf paper, and getting injected right into Martin Short's butt.  InnerSpace, y'all!!!

Put on your best Smylex makeup, flouf your hair, and make sure your henchmen brought the big boombox.  That's right our podders became the night (knight?) and watched Batman.  And not the millennial's lame version.  Our batman can't move his neck, wears glasses, and weighs 160 lbs soaking wet.  This is 1989 Tim Burton's Batman. You want to get nuts!!!!!

Our brave Podsters jump in a time machine back to 1980 to take a look at life when sexism, wage gaps, and glass ceilings were all the rage.  What's that you say? These are still major issues?! Well then, Dolly Parton for President 2024, y'all!!! That's right we watched Nine to Five so bust out your best desk kimono, kick the copier, and ask yourself: What Would Dolly Do?

This week we find out love is dangerous whether you are a plumber, a lounge singer, a russian martial artist, or whatever Mike Meyers does.  That's right, we watched So I Married an Axe Murderer.  So get the honeymoon chair ready, practice your beat poetry, and make sure the bag pipers have health insurance.  Woman!!! Wo-man!!! 

Have you ever thought if god was one of us, man?  Well our brave podcasters put on their baggy jeans, puffed a jay behind the video store, and watched DOGMA. Will this violent dark comedy hold up.  Only Silent Bob knows and he's not talking.  So throw on a hoodie and a blazer and get ready to examine the dogma....oh I get it now!

Our podders decided this is as good a week as any to ride the lightning. We are taking it easy this week by watching the Captain and Smee take a lovely little pleasure cruise.  What's that you say?!! They've kidnapped kids and will probably murder another?!!! Well then strap on your rattan armor, unholster your cellphone, and load up your mashed potato cannons.  We're watching HOOK!!  Tick tock, tick tock.

As Percy Bysshe Shelley says "If winter comes, can spring be far behind?"  Our brave podders watched Aspen Extreme and are here to tell you yes, spring may never come.  So strap on your K2's, get in some skin tight neon, and set up your juice bar.  It's going to be a long run.  Ain't no extreme like Aspen Extreme. Shred the gnar!!!!

As we enter 2021, our brave heroes shake off their New Year's hangovers to do battle with Ice Queens and Joe Blow Hockey dudes.  That's right we're talking about the Cutting Edge!!
