The Olympics are over but sports are eternal.  So our podders watched The Mighty Ducks.  So break out your tiger beat Pacey posters, put some tire chains on your limo, and learn how to skate (or don't.  Doesn't seem to matter).  Quack, quack you cake eaters.  

Romance is in the air and it has just a fluttering of nutty Edam cheese.  The only way our podders could truly appreciate its bouquet is to watch 1987's Roxanne.  So just in time for the new Cyrano movie, break out your best fencing racket, a handbook on how to firefight, and ask yourself "Roxanne, Roxette, or Rosanne".  Carp Diem!!!

It's the middle of February and we are dreaming of Malta, so naturally our podders watched Popeye!! Yes, Popeye, the sailor man.  Strap yourself in and ask yourself "What is art and why does it hate me?"  So grab your corn cob pipe, mumble literally every thought that pops into your brain, and then sing!!!!! It's a musical after all.  Oooooohhhh Nooooooo!!!!!

Do you have the fever? No, not pandemic fever! With the rumbling of Russian tanks in the news, our podders did what any red blooded American would do and watched Red Dawn.  So grab some RPGs.... Nope not enough, go back and get 100 times that many.  There we go! Now we're cooking with gas.  Ok, now set that gas on fire.  Splosions!!!!!!   Time to find out where this movie fits in the Swayze-verse.  Via con dias, glotones y glotonas!!!!!

Wanting to explore the drug dealing underbelly of New York City in the 80's, our intrepid podders watched Three Men and a Baby.  That's right, Guttenberg, Danson, and Selleck: The three horsemen of the Apocalypse.  So grab your heroine diapers, a map of Toronto, and a v-neck sweater to show off all that chest hair!!  Also let's all learn about Katie's definition of an Inside Man!!!!

As Martha Graham once said "The body says what words cannot".  To prove this truism we of course watched Girls Just Want to Have Fun.  So grab your body double, buy as much hair spray as covid rationing allows, and get ready to dance dance revolution.  It doesn't matter if you're a punk, a catholic school girl, or someone with no dancing ability at all.  So join muppet baby versions of Sarah Jessi...

Our busy podders stopped scrolling their insta long enough to check out the internet when it was just a baby.  That's right they watched You've Got Mail.  Will the power of love withstand the iron jaws of  big business, can Tom Hanks make stalking look playful, is there nothing that a Harry Nilsson song about puppies can't fix?  Listen to find out.  F-O-X!!!!!

I mean, it's starting to get chilly out so our Podcaster's decided to watch the classic disaster movie, The Big Chill.  Will they find stories of avalanches, ice storms, or the cold unforgiving outer space?  Nay, this is the cold embrace of adulthood!  Oh the horror!!! As the great Jimmy Buffet once said, "I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow".  Well our brave podders tried to answer this question by watching Dante's Peak!  So get ready for paper mâché architecture, body bag flirting, and every single one of your phobias. It's Halloween, so our brave podders put caution to the wind and watched Practical Magic.  So bust out your biggest blenders, check out zillow listings where they don't stone witches, and be sure to watch some CSI before embarking on a murder. Oh and remember, sisters!!!!

Our brave podders are back and they’re all hopped up on the spice mélange.  That’s right we watched Dune. Ya, that's right, 1984 Dune.  So who’s ready to get weird!!! Bring along your eyebrow combs, your cat milking machines, oh and don't forget your Sting Bikini.  And be sure you've got that whispery inner monologue set to constant. It's Dune, y'all!!!!

Wedding bells are in the air so our Podders followed suit and watched Father of The Bride.  Birdezilla vs. Mothra wasn't available.  So get your swans ready, download Rosetta Stone for whatever language Franck speaks, and buy stock in whoever makes smoking jackets.  Congrats B&G!!!!!!

Tired of this back to school BS, our podders returned to Summer Camp and watched Heavyweights.  So duct tape your candy around your waste (don't forget your deli meat), lift those devil logs, and get on the scale... GET OFF THE SCALE!!!!!  Also , don't get us started about the merits of CrossFit vs. jumping on the blob. Too late.

It’s back to school time so better check with the experts on what you need to put in your backpack.  If your expert of choice is an Austrian body builder who is somehow an undercover LAPD officer then you’re ready for Kindergarten Cop.  So get ready for illegal ferrets, all the wet poneytails you can handle, and way more violence than you remember.  Get to the chopper!!!!!

Just in time for the remake, our podders travel back to 1999 and party with the classic teen romp She's All That.  Will they survive this return to high school where the Real World ruled, glasses were the most hideous thing, every school had their own DJ, and everyone was apparently awful.  Is she all that?  Lets's find out...right about now.  

Our podders put on their BFFs forever bracelets and watched Now and Then.  Cuz what's better than friendship? If you even started to answer that question, just get out! Without faking their own death, they dive into this tale of mysterious murder, young love, grandma's on coke, and stormwater. BFFS 4EVA!!!!!!

To honor Labor Day, our industrious podders watched the quintessential ode to the working Man, Weekend at Bernie's!!! So grab a corpse, forget everything you learned from CSI about decomposition, and partay!!!!! (Is It for REEL actually does not condone partying with a corpse.  Everything you learned on CSI was true.  Everything!!!!!!!)

Our brave Podders are back from Summer Break!!! They threw away their summer reading lists (reading is for the nerds) and instead watched a movie about reading books.  It's The Neverending Story, y'all!!!! So be sure to ration your sandwich, saddle up your luck dragon, and book a therapy session, because we're diving into some childhood trauma.  Ain't no party like a Falkor party because a Falkor...
