Text: Colossians 1:15-23 Preacher: Isaac Adams Our knowledge of Jesus should cause us to love and trust in Him more deeply. This second part of Colossians 1, the metaphorical “Mount Everest of Christology,” gives us many reasons to love and trust Him.

Text: Colossians 1:1-4 Preacher: Isaac Adams In the first part of his letter to the Church in Colossae, Paul reminds them of the gospel and models faithful prayer and gratitude - even while suffering in prison.

John 10 / Kam Pugh Whose voice are you listening to? Jesus is the Good Shepherd and His sheep hear & heed His voice. Jesus alone is worthy of following because He laid down His life for His sheep so that those who belong to Him may experience abundant life.

Peter reminds us that God has made himself known to us in the person of Jesus Christ. Having relationship with Christ transforms us from sin and decay to life and godliness. Through this transformation, God confirms his work in us.

The prophet Habakkuk concludes this book by reminding himself of God's faithfulness to His people in the past, so that he can praise God in the present. We see him go from complaining against the Lord in chapter 1 to content in the Lord by the end of chapter 3, even in the midst of coming judgment. When Habakkuk looks to the Lord, his fear turns into faith and his worry turns into worship.

The Lord responds to Habakkuk's questions and complaints to Him. Habakkuk learns the righteous must not live by pridefully trusting in themselves and their possessions, but by humbly trusting in the Lord and His promises.

Habakkuk is perplexed at the Lord’s silence in the midst of the wickedness of his people. He grows even more perplexed as he hears the Lord’s answer to his complaints. Habakkuk provides a model for the people of God in how we are to prayerfully wrestle with God in faith.

In this sermon, Isaac concludes our series in Jonah by reflecting on God's power and patience. God be praised, there is hope for us to be changed as the people of Nineveh were -- if we believe and repent.
